National Guardsman Wins Bronze Medal at Artistic Gymnastics World Cup 14.04.2025
Milad Karimi, a senior specialist (senior physical training and sports instructor) at the National Guard Sports Training Center, won a bronze medal at the World Cup stage in artistic gymnastics held in Osijek, Croatia.In the floor exercise final, Lance Corporal Karimi showcased exceptional skill, scoring 13.966 points, which secured him third place and a spot on the podium.The Croatia stage marked the fourth event in the World Cup series and saw a record number of participants — athletes from 35 countries. Representing Team Kazakhstan were Nariman Kurbanov, Zeynolla Idrisov (pommel horse), Asan Salimov (vault), and Milad Karimi, who competed in both floor exercises and the horizontal bar event.By the end of the competition, Kazakhstan had secured two bronze medals. Berset, the parties discussed the further development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe. The Head of the European organization was thoroughly informed about the ongoing democratic processes and constitutional reforms in Kazakhstan, as well as the activities of the Kazakh Parliament.In his turn, Secretary General A. Berset recognized Kazakhstan as an important partner of the Organization. According to him, Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe share much in common, primarily their commitment to strengthening the human rights agenda. He highly appreciated Kazakhstan's active involvement in various mechanisms of the Organization, including the fight against corruption. A. Berset emphasized the importance of continuing joint work in various fields of activity within the Council of Europe.The Kazakh delegation briefed the Human Rights Commissioner on President K. Tokayev’s initiatives aimed at radically transforming the country's political and socio-economic systems. It was emphasized that the reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan are driven by the demands of its citizens. As part of the implementation of the ideology of "Law and Order" in the Aktobe region, work continues to curb driving under the influence of alcohol.This year, 13 persons were brought to criminal responsibility in Aktobe region for driving while intoxicated.
