"Night run": 1,500 amateurs took part in the event in the capital 23.11.2024
"The event" "night run "" was organized for residents of Astana, and on November 22, at 21:00 in the Botanical Park, residents of the capital covered the distance of 4 km, the official website of the mayor's office of the city reported."On Friday night in Astana, the mercury exchange rate was -8 degrees. Despite the fact that the organizers set a limit of 1000 people, the number of people who lead a healthy lifestyle in the Botanical Park, as always, was very large. About 1,500 amateur athletes were registered in the next unusual "night run"."In a year we will hold about 800 sports events in Astana. Of these, 34 marathon runs were organized. However, for the first time in 2024 there was a" night run". But since the townspeople traditionally run before the New Year, this cannot be said to be our first experience. Why was the Botanical Park chosen? After all, first of all, a profitable location for many participants. Secondly, we can run freely and safely without any obstacles to road traffic in the city. Third, because of the coverage with the treadmill, the chances of injury are low. We will not stop at it. There is still a family marathon ahead of us," said Kulbay Zhanbek, head of the Planning Department of mass sports events of the KSU "Directorate of mass sports events" of Astana akimat. The youngest of the participants of the race was 10 years old, the youngest was 68 years old. Amateur runners not only overcame 4 kilometers, but also received hot tea and sandwiches in the finish area, respectively, a special commemorative medal. At the end of the event, an IPhone 15 Pro smartphone and 5 bicycles were drawn in a lottery, and as part of the "Clean Kazakhstan" campaign, participants collected garbage.
