The heating season in Zhambyl region is running normally. The participants of political consultations exchanged views on implementation of the German Green Central Asia initiative and the further promotion of the Strategic Regional Partnership between Central Asia and Germany.The parties discussed issues of interaction with the European Union, stressing the importance of implementing Kazakhstan-EU Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, as well as initiatives within the United Nations and the importance of interaction in all OSCE dimensions. They also exchanged views on the topical issues on the international agenda.In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue working together to further deepen the mutually beneficial dialogue between Astana and Berlin.For reference: The Kazakh-German mutual trade reached $3.9 billion (exports – $742.3 million, imports – $3.2 billion); during 9 months of 2024 - $3 billion (exports - $882.1 million, imports - $2.1 billion) in 2023. Preparations for the 2025 flood season are underway in the Abai region 19.11.2024
An unscheduled meeting of the regional commission for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations was held under the chairmanship of Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev. The issue of preparing for the flood period of 2025 was considered.According to the Department of Emergency Situations, work on the implementation of the Engineering Protection Plan for settlements is actively continuing. Of the 63 planned activities, 50 have been fully completed, which is 80% of the total. The remaining 10 events in Borodulikha and Kokpekty districts are scheduled to be completed by the end of November.For rapid response to emergency situations, a grouping of forces and means has been created: 1,345 people, 460 pieces of equipment, 19 swimming facilities, as well as 161 water pumping devices. In addition, the Department of Emergency Situations purchased 11 boats and 2 snowmobiles.There are 38 retaining hydraulic structures operating in the territory of the Abai region today, including reservoirs, dams and waterworks. In 2025, design and estimate documentation will be developed for the reconstruction of two reservoirs and four storage ponds.According to the mayor, the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the development of the water industry, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will minimize risks and ensure the safety of the population during floods."Our main task is to protect the population from the effects of the spring flood. Systematic work is being carried out in this direction: equipment is being updated, the group of rescuers is being strengthened, measures are being implemented to strengthen hydraulic structures. By the flood period of 2025, the region should be 100% ready. A gold extraction factory worth 1 billion tenge has started operating in the Abai region 19.11.2024
A new enterprise in the Kokpektinsky district of the Abai region for the production of gold and silver alloy was put into commercial operation in November 2024. The project is implemented by Eastern Gold LLP, a subsidiary of Altyn Samruk Qazaqstan JSC, the owner of the License for the extraction of solid minerals No. 150-ML dated 11/15/2024.Gulmira Kasylovan, Director of Eastern Gold LLP, is directly at the mine and is engaged in launching full-cycle operations: from ore mining to the production of DORE alloy, according to her, the company provides jobs for about 60 local engineering and technical workers, employees of working specialties, and the food sector. The production of marketable products will provide tax revenues to the regional and republican budgets.The plant's capacity: processing 200,000 tons of gold ore and producing up to 200 kg of DoRe alloy per year.The ore will come from nearby quarries that mine the Rodnikovoye and Belaya Gorka deposits. The minimum reserves confirmed for today are enough to ensure the operation of the factory for at least 8-10 years.The project is aimed at the development of mining and processing of gold-bearing ores in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the production of DoRe alloy for refining plants in the country, in particular for Tau-Ken Altyn LLP.
