About 400 violators of the level of toxicity of car exhaust have been identified in Almaty 18.11.2024
The implementation of the republican program "Taza Kazakhstan" continues in Almaty, within the framework of which the Clean Air campaign is taking place. This initiative is aimed at combating air pollution from motor vehicles, which is one of the main sources of toxic emissions in megacities. As part of the campaign, during the period from October 30 to November 8 of this year, together with employees of the Police Department, 882 cars were checked at mobile environmental posts located both in the city center and on its outskirts. The main purpose is to monitor the level of toxicity and smokiness of vehicle exhaust gases. This is especially important in Almaty, where motor transport accounts for a significant part of the polluting factors. The monitoring results showed that 45% of the tested cars, namely 398, do not meet environmental standards, their emissions exceed acceptable standards. This highlights the need to strengthen control and increase the environmental responsibility of car owners. In this regard, administrative protocols were drawn up against violators. And 11 cars in which repeated violations were detected had their state license plates seized until the malfunctions were fixed in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses. They will not be able to continue operation until the exhaust problems are fixed. These measures are an important step in improving the environmental situation in Almaty and contribute to reducing air pollution. It is expected that increased control will increase the level of responsibility of drivers and contribute to improving air quality in the city. 10 billion tenge will be allocated from the Government's reserve for the direct purchase of new crop grain 18.11.2024
At an expanded meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Issues on the topic "On problematic issues of storage and sale of the current year's harvest and the Government's plans to address them," Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov said that the department is working on the organization of direct purchase of grain of the new crop with prioritization of purchases from small farms."It is planned to allocate 10 billion tenge from the Government's reserve. This measure will help stabilize the market and purchase 155 thousand tons of grain at market value. For a larger-scale purchase of about 1 million tons, additional financing in the amount of 75 billion tenge is required," the minister said.During a period of declining domestic grain prices, the Food Corporation helps farmers sell grain at a cost-effective price by conducting interventional purchases, thereby minimizing farmers' losses. During the period of high prices, the state operator sells grain to flour mills, livestock, poultry farms at prices below market, thereby restraining the growth of prices for final products. Thus, as part of its activities, the Food Corporation provides systematic support to the market by providing forward contracts and commodity loans, selling cheaper wheat to flour mills, livestock and poultry farms. This mechanism has a multiplier effect on the economy, stimulating the development of agriculture, as well as a targeted social effect in the form of price stabilization for socially significant food products.Measures have been taken to ensure uninterrupted grain exports: about 11.8 thousand units of grain carriers and 16 thousand units of covered wagons are involved in grain transportation. In general, over the 10 months of this year, KTZ transported 7.9 million tons of grain cargo, of which 1.9 million tons were exported according to internal reports and 6 million tons were exported. We add that these issues require an integrated approach, and therefore, the Ministry is working with all interested parties to take effective measures.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/moa/press/news/details/885135

WORK ON HIV PREVENTION IS INTENSIFYING IN KAZAKHSTAN 18.11.2024
The number of adherents of pre-exposure HIV prevention (PREP) is growing every year in the country, from five thousand last year to 11 thousand people this year. PREP or PrEP is an effective way to prevent HIV transmission, provided it is regularly used by people without HIV."PREP consists of taking the drug tenofovir/emtricitabine daily. Worldwide studies show that PrEP drugs reduce the risk of HIV transmission by 99%. Drugs can be obtained free of charge and confidentially from regional HIV prevention centers and non-governmental public organizations.Migrants can buy in pharmacies by prescription from doctors of HIV prevention centers or private medical centers," said Ulugbek Medeubekov, Acting Director of the Kazakh Scientific Center for Dermatology and Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KNCDIZ).As is known, HIV in the country is spread mainly in key population groups. Therefore, PREP is relevant primarily for risk groups, including people who use drugs, men who have sex with men, sex workers, trans people, discordant couples (one of the partners with HIV).PREP has been available since 2023 through a number of friendly NGOs that provide drugs through medical professionals, two of them have received a medical license. The joint activities of doctors and equal navigators from among NGOs are actively carried out through chatbots, websites, social networks and outreach work.Since last year, registration for those wishing to take PREP has been simplified in the country: only a negative HIV test result and screening of HIV symptoms are required. This is a significant plus for increasing the motivation of those who have not yet decided to take PrEP.From November 20 to December 1 (World AIDS Day), the country will host a campaign under the UNAIDS motto "Choose the right path – the path of human rights". Respect for the rights of everyone is the basis for an effective response to HIV. This World AIDS Day is a call to action to protect everyone's health through the protection of everyone's rights.Kazakhstan is constantly improving national legislation on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection. Antiretroviral therapy is provided at the expense of the State. An HIV test can be taken at the clinic at the place of attachment or at the regional HIV Prevention Center confidentially, free of charge and, if desired, anonymously.During the campaign, by December 1, actions, round tables, flash mobs and other events will be held in all regions of the country to promote knowledge about HIV prevention, prevention of stigma and discrimination against people affected by HIV. Open Days for the population will be held in regional HIV Prevention Centers. Everyone will be able to get expert advice and get tested for HIV.On November 26, an international scientific and practical conference "Innovative measures for HIV prevention and treatment: policy, research, practice" will be held in Almaty. This event with the participation of well-known international and domestic experts will be an important step towards strengthening sanitary and epidemiological control and improving modern approaches to the prevention of HIV, concomitant, as well as dermatovenereological diseases.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/dsm/press/news/details/885012

"Fundamentals of online trading": 200 Capitals took courses through the JOLTAP project 18.11.2024
Today, online trading is used more often than the traditional form of trading. This will save money and time. As the volume of trade increases, it is necessary to improve the quality of services. At this time, the demand for training courses that explain the intricacies of online trading to entrepreneurs will also increase. For example, in the capital you can learn the basics of online shopping for free through the social project JOLTAP, the official website of the mayor's office of the city reports. The course based on a social project explains how to open an online store and develop it. In addition to the service of timely delivery of goods to the owner, it also touches on the types of taxes. According to Aigerim Omysheva, a teacher of the course "fundamentals of online trading" on the social project JOLTAP, residents of the capital will be able to master this type of profession in 6 days."Since September 30 of this year, I have been conducting a course on online shopping for project participants. My main specialty is accounting and audit. I worked in the banking industry for more than 10 years, and then I started an online business myself. In 2020, I started selling my goods through the Kaspi store. This is how I came to online trading. At the same time, through the JOLTAP project, I teach residents of the city how to shop online 6 days a week," Aigerim Omysheva said. The entrepreneur and project teacher of the capital initially studied the courses "Targetologist" and SMM through the JOLTAP project."When I heard about this project, I chose modern types of courses as an entrepreneur. Because in the online trade of goods, it is necessary to prepare content based on the customer's goals. In addition, it is necessary to create advertising. Since the project provides such opportunities, I was able to enroll and study in both courses at once," said the teacher of the project. After learning the basics of online trading, Aigerim Omysheva wrote her own course and conducted a paid course for interested people. He even expressed a desire to become a teacher for the JOLTAP project."I wanted to become a teacher after completing two courses through the project. At that time, there was only a course that taught online shopping through another marketplace. Thus, I would say that it is possible to explain the basics of trading through the online store that I run. Six months later, the JOLTAP project accepted my proposal," he said. The course, which lasts six days, first begins with an acquaintance with how to register in an online store, the tax procedure and its types."On the first day of the course, I will give general information about online shopping and tell you about registering for an online store. On the second day, we will focus on the method of selling goods, and on the third day we will discuss where to get the products that we sell. At that time, we compare foreign and Kazakh producers. On the fourth day, we will stop at the delivery of the goods to the customer. There I will introduce you to the types of delivery services in the online store. On the fifth day, I will tell you how to pack the outside of the goods, where to get the item you need for it. On the last day, we will discuss the procedure for the platform, registration of the return of goods and work with defects," said the teacher of this course. To date, Aigerim Omysheva has trained 209 people on this course."There is an interest of the capital's citizens in this course. Each stream gathers 10-15 people. Together with my colleague Abylai Kaliyev, we train project participants on this course. Now the 31st lecture is over. I think the courses offered by the JOLTAP project have their own degree. Now there are a lot of training courses, but sometimes certificates are not suitable. Therefore, the certificate issued by this project will greatly contribute to further finding work," the course teacher said.It should be noted that about 8 thousand citizens received short-term training under the JOLTAP project in the capital. There are modular Points "opportunity for all" in the city. There, residents will be able to get advice on 52 state support measures, employment opportunities, and short-term training.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/astana/press/news/details/884942
