During his working visit to the Sarykol district, the Akim of the Kostanay region, Kumar Aksakalov, visited a hockey rink in the village of Tagilskoye and met with local agricultural producers.As part of the trip, the head of the region also held a meeting with the population of the Sarykol district.Development of physical culture and sportsKumar Aksakalov emphasized the importance of developing physical culture and sports as a priority of the state social policy. This year, 12 sports and recreation complexes are being built in the region, 5 of which have already been commissioned. Since June of this year, a hockey rink with an area of more than 1,000 square meters has been operating in the Sarykol district, which is visited daily by about 100 people. 21.9 million tenge were allocated for the construction of the rink, and a heated changing room for children was additionally installed.Agriculture as a strategically important sectorThe Akim also noted that agriculture remains a strategically important sector of the economy. Kostanay region traditionally leads in flour production, annually producing about 5 million tons of wheat. In Sarykol district, on the basis of the farm "Satayev B.Kh." a line for cleaning and sorting seeds with a capacity of 5 tons per hour was launched, which required investments of 1.2 billion tenge and created 10 new jobs. However, Kumar Aksakalov harshly criticized local authorities and agricultural producers for insufficient attention to the infrastructure of villages and the implementation of the "Taza Kazakhstan" program.
