Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations carry out large-scale raid activities in the residential sector 03.12.2024
With the onset of the heating season, a fire safety month is being held in the Republic on the initiative of the Minister of Emergency Situations. The main purpose of the event is to prevent deaths and injuries of people due to fires, as well as to raise awareness of citizens about the rules of safe behavior. So, in a number of regions of the country, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized regular raid events in the residential sector.Rescuers of the Emergency Situations Department of Kostanay region, together with cadets of the Police Academy and representatives of local executive bodies, conducted a tour of the residential sector in the Ivan Pavlov village of Kostanay district. During the raid, extensive work was carried out to prevent violations of fire safety requirements. Experts checked the condition of the stove heating in the homes of local residents, drew attention to the presence and serviceability of chimneys, and also provided recommendations on how to eliminate the identified violations. To increase safety, carbon monoxide sensors have been installed in houses together with local executive authorities. As part of the event, memos with fire safety rules were distributed. Specialists also used a loudspeaker device to remind residents of the need to strictly observe precautionary measures.A large-scale action was held in the Abai region, which was attended by Deputy akim of the region Dimitri Garikov, as well as more than 160 employees of the emergency department, the local police service, local executive bodies, volunteers, social workers, bloggers and journalists. During the campaign, in order to clarify the basic requirements of fire safety in everyday life, visits to homes of socially vulnerable segments of the population, where single pensioners, large families, people with disabilities and low-income citizens live, were organized. During the raids, carbon monoxide sensors were installed, chimneys were cleaned, and assistance was provided in eliminating violations of fire safety rules in everyday life. Since the beginning of the heating season this year, more than 3 thousand such sensors have already been installed in the territory of the Abai region.A raid event was held in residential areas of the city of Uralsk, organized by employees of the Emergency Department of the West Kazakhstan region, which was attended by representatives of local executive bodies, the Police Department, a branch of QAZAQGAZ AIMAQ JSC and volunteer organizations. During the event, with the sponsorship of the Republica party, employees of the Department installed carbon monoxide sensors in residential buildings. In addition, explanatory work was carried out on fire safety measures during the heating period, as well as on the benefits of installed gas sensors. Also, during the event, a hands-free communication system was activated, information about fire safety measures was carried along the streets of residential areas. The 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification is taking place from December 2 to 13, 2024 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan is represented at the event by Murat Temirzhanov, Chairman of the Committee on Land Management, National Coordinator of the Convention to Combat Desertification.At the conference, Murat Temirzhanov spoke about Kazakhstan's experience in the field of sustainable land management. Comprehensive preparations for the flood period of 2025 are being actively carried out in Zhambyl region. The Department of Emergency Situations, together with local executive bodies, has checked all hydraulic structures in the region, and preventive security measures have been taken in the necessary areas.1,039 kilometers of canals, 1,615 kilometers of irrigation ditches, 406 culverts, 299 automobile and 115 railway bridges have been cleared in the region. At a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, the Government considered a set of measures necessary to preserve and produce the harvest of fruits and vegetables and stabilize prices for social food products.Conservation is through the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the construction and modernization of vegetable storages. Development of rural schools: 226 schools worth 8.2 billion tenge have been updated in the region 02.12.2024
The issue of rural schools development was discussed at a staff meeting chaired by Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov.The head of the Department of Education, Zhaiyk Sultan, told what measures are being taken to increase the potential of rural schools. Out of 434 schools in Aktobe region, 280 (or 70%) are rural, of which 201 (46%) are small schools.Zhaiyk Sultan named the main problems of rural schools. Among them, there is a shortage of personnel and low qualifications of teachers, as well as infrastructure problems.Systematic work was carried out to solve these problems. Over the past three years, 8 rural schools with 1,030 places have been put into operation. New schools for 2,350 places are being built in 10 villages, three of them are being built as part of the national project "Comfortable School". The quality of education has also improved significantly."On behalf of the Head of State, 8.2 billion tenge has been allocated for the reconstruction of 226 rural schools in the region within the framework of the project "Reconstruction of 1000 schools in small towns and villages". According to the project "Developing the potential of small rural schools using digital technologies", 12 basic and 134 small schools were renovated. With the financial support of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Public Foundation, the material and technical database of small schools was strengthened. 46 schools are provided with high-speed Internet, including through the Starlink system. 54.4 million tenge has been allocated to stimulate teachers involved in the project. 1,068 teachers and 204 school principals have completed advanced training courses. Training seminars and webinars were held, and methodological recommendations were developed. As a result, the quality of education in small schools improved by 4-11%. The problem of personnel shortage in small schools has been solved through the integration of online learning.
