In 2025, Almaty plans to implement a project to improve the Bauma grove, which is one of the main natural sites of the city. The area of the grove is 137.7 hectares, it is located in the Turksib district between Seifullin and Suyunbai Avenues. The peculiarity of the approach is the minimal interference with the natural component of the grove. During landscaping, the natural relief and soil cover will be preserved in order to avoid erosion and minimize the amount of excavation work. The Baum Grove will be divided into three zones:• The active zone will be located around the perimeter of the grove to provide access to the infrastructure for outdoor activities.• The recreation area will become a place for a relaxing holiday with minimal infrastructure.• The ecozone will be designed for the conservation and restoration of natural flora and fauna with limited intervention.
