Five years ago, the Birlik creative group was formed in Abai, Karaganda region, which brought together talented people with disabilities. Over the years, special artists have been recognized not only in the region, but also in the country. And now international recognition has been received. The XIX meeting of the General Assembly of the Institute of Standardization and Metrology of Islamic States (SMIIC) under the auspices of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was held in Istanbul. Established in August 2010, SMIIC aims to form a unified system of accreditation, standardization and certification according to Halal requirements. The main goal of the institute is to develop standards that ensure the clean and safe consumption of Halal products and services, combining religious precepts with modern technologies.At the meeting, the National Accreditation Center (NCA) was represented by its staff, who took part in discussions on the agenda, voting and evaluating SMIIC's work reports for 2024, as well as reviewing development plans for 2025. The participation of the NCA contributes to the development of unified approaches to the Halal quality system in Kazakhstan, focused on international standards.Since 2020, the NCA has been actively working on the implementation of accredited Halal certification in the country. In 2023, the first domestic Halal conformity assessment body was accredited. A new draft law has been developed for athletes with disabilities 16.11.2024
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has developed a draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on physical culture and sports, as well as the prevention of excessive legislative regulation of norms."The document introduces a new concept of "accompanying an athlete with a disability". This innovation will allow athletes with disabilities of the first group to receive assistance when participating in sports events. The bill is aimed at expanding the freedom of movement and conditions for the participation of athletes with disabilities in sports competitions.According to representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, this change contributes to increasing inclusivity in sports and creating favorable conditions for the participation of citizens with disabilities in sports events."The introduction of a special assistance system for athletes with disabilities is an important step towards maximizing the inclusiveness of sports in our country.
