Shops should be filled with products of local producers – Ermaganbet Bulekpaev 03.12.2024
Supporting local producers and providing the population with high–quality domestic products is one of the priorities in the Karaganda region. At an online meeting, Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev expressed concern about the insufficient presence of some Kazakhstani goods on store shelves. He noted that it is necessary to make domestic products more accessible and visible to consumers. There are 150 processing enterprises operating in the Karaganda region. They process milk, meat, grain, etc.– The region is 100% provided with products of its own production in five names: wheat flour of the first grade, pasta, potatoes, chicken egg, beef. Also, 90.7% of the region is provided with products of its own production in 8 names. These are first–class bread, poultry meat, fermented dairy products, cottage cheese, butter, carrots, cabbage, onions," said Irina Lyubarskaya, head of the entrepreneurship department. An analysis of the supermarket shelf space showed that 100% of bakery and meat products from local producers are represented on the shelves of Karaganda and nearby regions. Social shelves have also been created for the sale of domestic goods, and products have special logos. But at the same time, there are a number of problems. Among them are insufficient modernization of production, lack of highly qualified specialists and problems with logistics and transportation.Special attention should be paid to the marketing problems of local producers – for example, in the sausage segment. Many manufacturers do not promote their products, which affects consumer choice, because people tend to choose what is advertised more often.– Improvements in logistics and marketing are important so that the goods of Kazakhstani manufacturers are more accessible and recognizable. It is necessary to subsidize production and improve the conditions for sales, which will create healthy competition and improve the quality of goods for consumers," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/karaganda/press/news/details/894795

A DEVICE FOR PRESERVING ORGANS FOR TRANSPLANTATION HAS BEEN DEVELOPED IN KAZAKHSTAN 02.12.2024
The Kazakh team of cardiac surgeons at the University Medical Center is working on creating a unique device for preserving organs outside the body. This can significantly improve the results of transplants, UMC reports. As part of the project, specialists are developing technologies to preserve a beating heart, as well as "breathing" lungs and a functioning liver. In the future, it is planned to expand to the kidneys. The organ can be kept in a viable state for at least 24 hours. It has been scientifically proven that the functions of the heart outside the body can be maintained for 29 hours with subsequent successful transplantation. Today, only one device - the American OCS system of TransMedics company allows you to safely and effectively maintain the viability of organs."The main difference between our device and the American one is that it implies longer-term support for an isolated organ, and unlike the American counterpart, our system provides for the treatment of an organ throughout the entire period of vital activity outside the body, and we can treat and evaluate this organ by performing ultrasound examination, intravascular examination of arteries, which nourish the heart, and thereby ensure its safety, so that the recipient receives the organ and has no risk of rejection or dysfunction of the transplant and, most importantly, is safe," said Timur Lesbekov, director of the Clinical Academic Department of Cardiac Surgery at the University Medical Center Corporate Foundation.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/dsm/press/news/details/894543
