In order to capture spring flood waters in the region and effectively use them for the irrigation season, projects have been developed to build the "Baydibek Ata", "Boraldai", "Karakuys", and "Ikan Su" reservoirs. If the projects are fully implemented, an additional 120.3 million m3 of wastewater will be supplied to the "Bogen" reservoir, solving the wastewater problem in the villages of the city of Turkestan. Today, the construction of the "Baydibek Ata" reservoir has begun. Construction work is underway on the "Karakuys" and "Kapchagai" reservoirs.
In 2024, 9.3 billion tenge was allocated for the overhaul of 7 water facilities and mechanical cleaning of 6 facilities. In 2025, 5.4 billion tenge is planned for the overhaul of 12 water facilities and mechanical cleaning of 1 facility.
The changes at Turan Su have proven their effectiveness. The enterprise has 18 reservoirs, 3 waterworks, 107 canals, 3 production and technical bases and 81 special equipment. In 2024, the enterprise is planning to carry out major repairs of 96.42 km of 9 water bodies at the expense of the regional budget. Currently, 46.02 km have been completed. 1,197.9 km of canals and ditches were mechanically cleaned using the enterprise's excavators provided to the region. In addition, 200 meters of river channels in the region were strengthened and cleaned using special equipment owned by the enterprise, and 100 meters of reservoir dams were restored. An enterprise producing water-saving technologies has been opened and started operating.

A WWII veteran from Karaganda region turns 101 23.01.2025
Anna Nikanorovna Kotova, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, is celebrating her 101st birthday today in the Osakarovsky district of the Karaganda region. VERTICAL DRAINAGE CHANNELS ARE BEING UPDATED IN TURKESTAN REGION 23.01.2025

Currently, the construction of 97 vertical drainages in the district, located on an area of 16,010 hectares, is being carried out by “Kiikbay Stroy Service” LLP. The task of installing 113 drainage systems on 19,911 hectares of irrigated land was entrusted to “Art-Kurylys” LLP.
The total number of vertical drainage wells in the Shardara district is 302. The rehabilitation of vertical drainage wells is being financed and implemented through the Islamic Development Bank. To date, 229 new vertical drainage wells have been dug. The work continues according to the production schedule.

The main goal of the Auyl Amanaty project is to increase the incomes of the population in rural areas.
