In the first month of this year, employees of the city police department identified 47 drug-related offenses. Of these, 10 were cases of selling synthetic drugs. According to the first deputy head of the department, Arman Beisenbayev, more than 35 kilograms of various narcotic substances were seized from illegal circulation, including more than 1 kilogram of synthetic drugs.Beisenbayev recalled that the Minister of Internal Affairs declared 2025 the Year of Prevention. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, together with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, has implemented the provision of the public services “Establishment of guardianship or trusteeship for incapacitated or disabled adults” and “Disposal of property of incapacitated or disabled adults, receipt of pensions, benefits, social payments credited to their accounts, and issuance of permission to alienate property of citizens recognized as incapacitated or disabled by a court decision” through the “Electronic Government” portal.Previously, the acceptance of documents for the establishment of guardianship or trusteeship for adults recognized by the court as incapacitated, as well as for the issuance of permission to dispose of property of persons under guardianship or trusteeship, was carried out only in paper form.The ability to receive the above services through the “Electronic Government” portal eliminates the need to submit applications and documents on paper, and also simplifies the business processes of providing services will contribute to, and reduce the risks of providing inaccurate data from service recipients. In order to reduce the incidence of viral hepatitis in Kazakhstan, it is planned to conduct comprehensive screening for hepatitis B and C among people over 18 years of age.The results of the implementation of the pilot program for the early detection of infection with viral hepatitis B and C, as well as further steps to implement measures to reduce the incidence in the country, were discussed during a meeting between the Minister of Health, Akmaral Alnazarova, and the Director of the Center for Disease Analysis Foundation (CDAF), Dr. Homi Razavi.One of the main and most important goals of the WHO program to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030 is their timely diagnosis.Since viral hepatitis B and C are mainly latent (asymptomatic), in 65% of cases they end with the development of cirrhosis or liver cancer, which in turn leads to death and disability of the infected population.
