Local executive bodies are being coordinated to implement anti-flood measures.   Today, the reduction of flood risk in the regions in 2025 is being implemented by republican and regional program documents (comprehensive plans for socio-economic development and regional development plans, regional plans for engineering work to prepare for the flood season).   In addition, after the end of the 2024 flood season, local executive bodies, together with the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, made adjustments and clarifications to the list of settlements and areas at risk of flooding, as of the results of 2024, their number was 1,223.   In order to prevent floods in East Kazakhstan, 33 events were fully implemented in the summer-autumn period under the flood prevention work plans of cities and districts, 55 events under the engineering work plan, as well as preventive measures were taken on the roads of the region, the affected areas were restored during the measures, and water pipes (structures) were replaced. Particular attention was paid to raising the embankments and embankments that strengthen the coast above critical levels, which will allow minimizing the risk of flooding of settlements and increasing the volume of water intake compared to previous years.
