The first stage of construction of a modern fish farming complex specializing in the cultivation of trout and barramundi with an annual production capacity of up to 10,000 tons has been completed. The total cost of the project by Ospanova Development Company is 67.3 billion tenge.The construction of the complex on a 35-hectare plot of land began in 2021. In October 2023, the first trial release of 25,000 trout and barramundi fry was successfully completed.The first stage of construction was completed in 2024. The Memorandum of Intent was signed by the Minister of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiev, the management of AgiBot, ewpartners, and Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC at the Digital Almaty 2025 annual forum. As part of the partnership, AgiBot plans to create a joint venture for the production and implementation of robots and artificial intelligence solutions in Kazakhstan. Founded in February 2023, AgiBot is engaged in the development and production of universal humanoid robots. AgiBot actively develops technologies in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics, developing robots for a wide range of applications, from industry to household tasks. In December 2024, the number of robots produced at the AgiBot enterprise in Shanghai reached 1,000 units. It is worth noting that Kazakhstan is considered the first country in the region for localization of production and export of further developments. As part of the partnership, AgiBot, together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is expected to launch a "data factory" for training robots and robotic systems. "Partnership with such an advanced company as AgiBot is an important milestone in the history of the development of the robotics industry. I would especially like to note that our partnership involves the localization of robot production in Kazakhstan. This will allow us to open an enterprise in one of the most promising areas of mechanical engineering, as well as to increase our expertise and create a domestic center of competence in robotics,” - noted the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiev. It is planned that the ewpartners private investment fund and Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC will participate in financing joint initiatives. It is expected that an exhibition and a joint R&D center will open in the near future at the Alem AI International Center for Artificial Intelligence, where experimental models of AgiBot robots will be displayed. In addition, the company plans to establish cooperation with Kazakhstani universities, develop joint research projects and train students in robot assembly.
