The main goal of the Employment Assistance Program is to lift low—income families out of poverty by encouraging work and providing employment to able-bodied citizens. "This year, out of 12.9 thousand able—bodied recipients of social assistance, 7.7 thousand people are working; 5.1 thousand people are caring for those in need; 56 people are registered as unemployed." These families receive monthly social assistance from the State. However, this year the number of citizens from socially vulnerable segments of the population has decreased.
