The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan is carrying out comprehensive work to stabilize prices for socially significant food products. Since the beginning of the year, 20 regional commissions have been held to ensure that the trade markup does not exceed 15%, during which 49 violations of the law were identified regarding potatoes, which are considered a socially significant product. Appropriate administrative measures will be taken on all identified facts.As a result of meetings held by the Ministry of Trade and Agriculture with large retail chains, in particular, the Small and Magnum chains, the average price of potatoes in the Small chain in Astana has decreased to 280 tenge today, and to 185 tenge in the Magnum chain. According to the monitoring of the Trade Committee, the average price of potatoes in Kazakhstan today is 322 tenge. In social stores and SEC partners - in all regions of the country, there is a sufficient amount of potatoes and they are being sold below market prices.The sale of potatoes accumulated in the stabilization funds of the regions continues. From December 2024 to January 19, 2025, 23.6 thousand tons of potatoes were sold, out of a total volume of 85.4 thousand tons. The first meeting of the Public Council on Trade and Integration in 2025 was held in Astana under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Public Council Ruslan Shaekin and the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev.The event was attended by representatives of key government structures, including the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, the National Bank, as well as the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Science and Higher Education, Agriculture, Culture and Information, and Healthcare.The meeting raised topical issues related to the development of trade and integration. The amount of financial support is approximately 192 million tenge and is allocated from the EAEU budget.Another Kazakhstani company, Astana Kala Kurylys LLP, is participating in the project implemented by a Russian enterprise. This project was also approved for preferential financing at the meeting of the EEC Council. This is the project of the Murom routing plant to create production capacities for the production of products for the construction of the Moscow - St. Petersburg high-speed railway. In the near future, this document will be sent to the EAEU countries to undergo intra-state coordination procedures.The Concept for Improving the Interaction of Intelligent Transport Systems of the EAEU Member States was approved. The document was adopted with the aim of developing a coordinated transport policy of the participating countries, taking into account the level of development of integrated information and telematics technologies. The interaction of intelligent transport systems allows organizing technical support for users, increasing road safety and optimizing transport flows.Also, a procedure for collecting, compiling and presenting information on the circulation of products that are harmful to human health, animals, property, the environment or are dangerous was adopted.
