Astana, October 9, 2025 – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin met with the newly appointed Director of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre for Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors (CARICC), Makhmud Khamidov.The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening interaction in combating illicit drug trafficking.CARICC is an international organization headquartered in Almaty, established in 2009 by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).The Centre’s main objectives include coordinating the efforts of competent authorities of the member states in countering drug trafficking; facilitating the organization, implementation, and coordination of joint international operations, including controlled deliveries; as well as ensuring the collection, storage, protection, analysis, and exchange of information on transnational drug-related crimes.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mfa/press/news/details/1083867?lang=kk

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Presented his Credentials to the President of Iraq 14.10.2025

The Akim of the Kostanay Region, Kumar Aksakalov, presented awards to the best industry representatives.Mechanical engineering is a key sector of the region's economy and a leading player in the manufacturing industry. It accounts for 55 percent of the region's manufacturing output. Its enterprises employ more than 8,000 people, making a significant contribution to the development of domestic production.In the first eight months of this year, enterprises in the industry produced over 800 billion tenge worth of products. These include automobiles, combines, tractors, mounted and trailed agricultural machinery, equipment, and other products."Your work is more than just production; it is the foundation of progress, a driver of innovation, and a vital component of the region's economic development. Thanks to your work, complex mechanisms, advanced technologies, and modern equipment are created. Your skill and dedication deserve the highest praise," noted Kumar Aksakalov.The regional governor emphasized that investment projects aimed at developing the mechanical engineering industry, creating new jobs, and producing competitive products are being implemented in the region.In 2024, five investment projects worth 50 billion tenge were implemented in the region, creating over 800 jobs. Five more projects totaling 312 billion tenge are planned for launch this year, creating over 3,200 jobs.One of the largest projects will be the construction of a full-cycle KIA automobile manufacturing plant, which will create approximately 1,500 jobs."The launch of the new plant will further strengthen the region's position as a center of domestic automotive manufacturing. The primary focus will be on training local personnel and enhancing the technological competencies of engineers, workers, and managers," the regional governor emphasized.According to Kumar Aksakalov, the implementation of all projects will take the Kostanay region to a new level of industrial development and strengthen its status as the country's leading mechanical engineering center. Gabala, October 7, 2025 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev held bilateral meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, on the sidelines of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States.During the meeting with the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the state and prospects for the further development of bilateral cooperation, as well as progress in implementing agreements reached at the highest and high levels were discussed.Particular attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the Republic of Kazakhstan.Minister Kosherbayev proposed holding a forum of IT specialists during this visit to give additional impetus to relations between Astana and Baku in the field of digitalization.Discussions were held with the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry on the implementation of agreements reached following the state visit of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Hungary in November 2024, as well as the visits to Kazakhstan by Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok and Speaker of Parliament László Kövér in September-October 2025.The interlocutors focused on issues related to the development and expansion of joint projects in the fields of agriculture, energy, healthcare, and finance. Taza Kazakhstan: pilot project "Recycling workshop" launched in Kostanay region 14.10.2025
The Kostanay region continues to implement measures within the framework of the state program "Taza Kazakhstan", aimed at improving the ecological culture of the population and forming a responsible attitude to the environment.In order to promote environmental responsibility among the residents of the district, in 2025, the Department of Internal Policy of Kostanay district is implementing a state social order project "Organization and ideological support of the national program "Taza Kazakhstan" in Kostanay district.As part of the project, on October 7, 2025, a pilot project "Recycling Workshop" was launched at the Kubeev secondary school in Oktyabrskoye village, providing for the installation of an interactive space "Eco-cabinet".The project is aimed at developing environmentally responsible behavior among students and villagers, developing a culture of separate waste collection and recycling, and raising awareness of the possibilities of recycling materials.The EcoCabinet is an interactive platform designed for waste collection and sorting with subsequent recycling. Here, residents and students can not only donate recyclables, but also observe the process of its transformation into new products, including 3D printing threads and other useful materials.The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Neco Environmental Club Public Foundation, with the support of an educational institution and government agencies. QITFest-2025: International Theatre Festival in Kostanay 14.10.2025
From October 1st to 6th, 2025, the QITFest International Theatre Festival, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the I. Omarov Regional Kazakh Drama Theatre, will be held in Kostanay.The festival aims to preserve, develop, and popularize the best achievements of global theatre and enhance the status of theatre in society.The festival featured theatre companies from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.Distinguished guests of the festival included renowned theatre and film actors, state prize winners, and People's Artists of the USSR and Kazakhstan Asanali Ashimov and Tungyshbai Zhamankulov, and Altyngul Nurbekova, Head of the Theatre Arts Department of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.The jury included Erkebay Anar Saimzhankyzy, Professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts named after T.
