High demand for education workers was observed at the EEB in January 14.02.2025
In January, the activity of employers and job seekers on the Electronic Labor Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the ELE) was mixed: if the number of vacancies decreased by 5.2% compared to December of last year, amounting to 98.9 thousand units, then the number of resumes increased by 2.5 times, i.e. to 191.9 thousand units. The largest number of vacancies was posted by enterprises in the field of education (36.8 thousand), other types of services (11.5 thousand) and healthcare (11.1 thousand). At the same time, the demand for highly qualified personnel increased sharply in January - employers posted 16 thousand vacancies (+70%) more than in December. The demand for labor of unskilled workers has decreased more than twice, from 45.7 thousand to 18.8 thousand vacancies. At the same time, on the supply side, the increase in the number of resumes is shown by all skill groups, and unskilled workers posted 60.4 thousand resumes (+338%) more than in December.A positive balance of vacancies is observed in 11 regions compared to December. The largest increase in demand for workers was recorded in the city of Shymkent (by 2.6 thousand vacancies or +86%), Akmola (by 1.5 thousand or +50%) and West Kazakhstan (by 1.5 thousand or +46%) regions. The largest decrease in demand was observed in Turkestan (11.2 thousand vacancies or -63%), Aktobe (-2.3 thousand, or -36%) and Zhambyl (-1.7 thousand, or -30%) regions. As a result of the growth of offers on the labor market in January, a surplus of resumes was formed in almost all regions of the country. It was especially noticeable in Turkestan (6.5 thousand vacancies and 25 thousand resumes), Kyzylorda (2.3 thousand vacancies and 14.3 thousand resumes), Zhambyl (4 thousand vacancies and 10.3 thousand resumes) and Mangistau (3.4 thousand vacancies and 12.7 thousand resumes) regions.Among qualified personnel, educators (2.1 thousand vacancies), drivers and mathematics teachers (1.9 thousand vacancies) were in demand. Demand for such specialties as social worker (+1.1 thousand vacancies) and social educator in education (+625 vacancies) increased. The ranks of scarce specialists were replenished by mathematics teachers, who posted a total of 529 resumes, as well as social educators (173 resumes) and school psychologists (1 thousand vacancies with 262 resumes).Employers offered the highest average salaries among applicants for the positions of site manager in the manufacturing industry (from 741 thousand tenge), aviation engineer (~693 thousand tenge) and chief builder (~605 thousand tenge), while among job seekers the highest salaries were requested by applicants for the positions of deputy department head in the manufacturing industry (on average 1.1 million tenge), pilot (~1.1 million tenge), as well as head of the material and production assets accounting department (~1 million tenge). Thus, in January, while vacancies decreased in the EEB There was a significant increase in the number of resumes. This may be because employers have not yet intensified their hiring process at the beginning of the year, while many job seekers, on the contrary, begin looking for a new job from January. Despite the surplus of resumes in many specialties, there was a shortage of personnel in some positions.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/enbek/press/news/details/934072
