On June 1, the grand opening of the modern Almaly rehabilitation center for people with disabilities took place in Atyrau. This socially significant facility was commissioned as part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State, announced at the 4th meeting of the National Kuryltai.The opening ceremony was attended by Akim of Atyrau Region Serik Shapkenov, government representatives, veterans, and residents of the region.Construction of the new three-story center, with a total area of ​​22,000 square meters, began in 2023. The facility is designed to accommodate 150 people at a time, including children and adults. The opening of the center will significantly increase the volume of services provided: while previously approximately 1,100 people with special needs received rehabilitation care annually, now up to 2,300 patients will be able to receive comprehensive rehabilitation. Speaking at the ceremony, the regional governor noted that developing social infrastructure and supporting people with special needs remain among the priority areas of state policy."This center will provide comprehensive support to people with disabilities. The opening of such a socially significant facility is an important and joyful event for our region.
