On June 1, the grand opening of the modern Almaly rehabilitation center for people with disabilities took place in Atyrau. Construction of the 1,500-seat multifunctional sports complex, Atyrau Arena, has begun in the Atyrau region. Head of the region emphasized that ensuring worker safety should remain a key priority for every employer.According to Igilik Aubakirov, head of the State Labor Inspectorate for Atyrau Region, 24 industrial accidents were recorded in the region in the first four months of 2026. This figure represents a 20% decrease compared to the same period last year.Twenty-five workers were injured in the accidents. The main causes of the incidents remain inadequate organization of safe working conditions by employers and workers' failure to comply with safety requirements. Special commissions have been established and investigations conducted for each incident. Since the beginning of the year, 33 companies have been held administratively liable for violating occupational health and safety legislation.
