Barrier-free parking in Zhetysu and Bostandyk districts will be launched in Almaty 04.12.2024
The modernization of the parking infrastructure continues in Almaty. Since December 5, on the territory of parking lots of the site type in Zhetysu district in front of the shopping center "Adem", shopping center "Yalyan", shopping center "Alatau 1"/shopping center "Batyr", shopping center "Almaly"/Olzha shopping center, Barys market, as well as Nurly Tau business center, barrier-free parking systems will be launched north of al-Farabi Avenue, east of Zheltoksan Street in Bostandyk district. The barrier-free parking system uses modern photo and video cameras to control the entry and exit of cars. At the entrance to the parking lot, the camera automatically records the state number and the time of arrival of the car. The departure time is fixed in the same way. This allows you to accurately take into account the duration of parking and eliminates the need to stop in front of the barrier, which significantly reduces time and eliminates queues. The launch of this type of parking will allow thousands of drivers to save time every day and avoid congestion at entrances and exits. Installing information plates with instructions and QR codes for quick payment will make the process even more convenient. There is a prepaid payment system in communal parking lots. Drivers are offered several convenient ways:* Mobile application "Parking Almaty": available for iOS and Android devices. In the application, you can select "prepayment" or "postpaid" (until 23:59 of the current day).* Website Almaty-parking.kz : allows you to pay for parking online without registration.* SMS payment: subscribers of Kcell, Activ, Beeline, Tele2, Altel can send SMS to the number 1309 and pay from the mobile account balance.* Kassa 24 and Qiwi terminals: for those who prefer cash payment.* Banking applications: payment via mobile applications of second-tier banks.Recall that in October of this year, a similar parking system was launched in the parking areas of the universal markets "Kazyna", "Arlan", "Alatau-2", "Akbulak-1", "Akbulak-2" and "Akbulak-3". Drivers note the convenience of the new system."You don't have to wait for the car in front of you to get its ticket and pull into the parking lot. And when you leave, you don't have to wait for other drivers to make the payment, sometimes they don't even know how to pay. There are noticeably fewer traffic jams at the entrance and exit," one of the drivers comments. The introduction of a barrier—free parking system is part of a global strategy to improve urban infrastructure. It is planned that in the near future, for the convenience of Almaty residents, such a system will be installed in most municipal parking lots of the city. For all questions of interest, residents can contact the call center by phone +7 (727) 390-8000, daily from 08:00 to 20:00. New cleaning system in Almaty: multi-year contracts, modern technology and innovations 03.12.2024
Almaty became the first city where, on behalf of Akim Yerbolat Dosayev, an integrated approach to the maintenance of streets and courtyards was developed and applied. Thus, three-year contracts are concluded with contractors. Now companies can safely plan the long-term development of their business and invest in the purchase and renewal of a fleet of specialized equipment. At the same time, the amount allocated annually within the framework of a three-year contract is indexed. In addition, the mayors of the districts are spared the headache of conducting competitive procedures when there are no people willing to participate in the tender. At the same time, the activities of the state municipal enterprise "Almaty Tazalyk" have been optimized, whose activities are focused on cleaning streets of main and urban values. In 2025, the volume of the area of work performed by Almaty Tazalyk will decrease from 70% to 50% of the area of the city streets. This will allow attracting more companies from next year, which will give an impetus to the development of private sector entities and reduce the share of state participation.Another innovation is the conclusion of contracts for the complex maintenance of yards. This innovation was first applied in Almaty, for which the Akimat initiated amendments to the relevant orders of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Now the contract with contractors stipulates the entire range of work at once. These are sanitary cleaning, repair of landscaping elements and maintenance of green spaces. This approach made it possible to eliminate disagreements between contractors responsible for different sites in the same yard, and to increase the responsibility of performers for the sanitary condition of the territory.According to Akim of Zhetysu district Lyazzat Zhylkybayeva, new approaches to the organization of sanitary cleaning of the city make it possible to effectively carry out work throughout the district. In addition, the responsibility of contractors interested in working on a long-term basis is also increasing."In our Zhetysu district, in the last week of autumn, sanitary cleaning of house territories, squares, ditches and streets was actively carried out. By the way, there are 269 of them in the district with a total length of 290 km. Three organizations staffed by 165 workers and 156 units of special equipment monitor the high-quality and timely sanitary maintenance of streets, sidewalks and irrigation ditches in the district. Among them are snow loaders, sand spreaders, dump trucks, grader, tractors with brushes and others. Each organization has covered bases for storing sand and salt mixture in order to eliminate slipping on the roads in a timely manner," the akim of the district said. The modernization of the cleaning system has made the streets and courtyards of Almaty cleaner and more comfortable. This is noted by residents and guests of the metropolis."As a resident of Zhetysu district, I see how the city is changing. I visit the Ornek Leisure Center, where I participate in environmental actions — I plant trees and remove garbage. The Taza Kazakhstan program really works, and it motivates us to be active! Almaty is our city, and we will make it clean!" — said Kamila from Almaty. In general, sanitary cleaning in Almaty covers 24 million square meters. m of territory; 2,318 streets with a length of 2,777 km; 1,304 km of sidewalks and 1,167 km of irrigation ditches. There are also 4,020 yards cleaned daily in eight districts of the city.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/895456

In Almaty, Olympic medalists and pop stars showed an example of respect for the city 01.12.2024
Within the framework of the concept of "Taza Kazakhstan", on the last day of autumn and the week of cleanliness in Almaty, environmental actions are being held to clean citywide spaces. In the Bostandyk district, about 250 people, among them Olympic medalists, pop stars, and active youth, put the site at the intersection of Shagabutdinova - Satpayev in order.According to Akim of Bostandyk district Sanjar Alin, today there are 5 contractors in the district that are engaged in sanitary cleaning of yards. Employees of the State Enterprise "Almaty Tazalyk" clean the road infrastructure."We have 670 yards. In order to monitor the cleaning work, we are in constant contact with the Chairmen of the AXIS and KSK. If contractors do not fulfill their obligations, we receive a signal through messengers and try to respond promptly. In case of violations, we apply penalties, first to the head of the site. If the case repeats, then we impose a fine on the organization itself – the amount is much higher there. If the contractor does not correct the situation, then we terminate the contract through the court. To date, we have one contractor to whom we have sent a pre-trial letter with requirements. If he does not respond, we will sue and break off relations," said the akim of the district.Among the participants of the action was a Kazakhstani freestyle wrestler, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, silver medalist of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, deputy of the Maslikhat of Almaty Islam Bayramukov."As long as humanity has existed, the issue of cleanliness in the house and respect for the environment, for the city in which you live, will remain relevant. Cleaning urban spaces by joint efforts is a very important and necessary action, since Almaty has always been famous for its cleanliness and greenery. I think that this tradition should not be interrupted, and it should also be supported with the involvement of young people, residents of the city. Most importantly, when a person's inner world is clean, he will not litter. Everyone should be responsible for their actions," Islam Bayramukov stressed.Kazakh pop stars did not stay away either. Singer Oktem Altaev called on all citizens to support this initiative to clean up the city."Every weekend we cleaned this area, but there is no less garbage here. I would like to urge the local residents of this site not to litter and keep clean, because this is our common home. And in general, Almaty residents, I urge you to join the action," said Oktem Altaev.Olympic medalists of the Paris 2024 Olympics also came to clean up."Today we came to maintain the cleanliness of our city, as well as to help all the workers who clean Almaty from garbage. I am very glad to see that students and athletes are joining the campaign and trying to put our city in order. I think this is very good, because cleanliness starts with you," says 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Islam Satpayev. In turn, Olympic bronze medalist Alexandra Lee noted that it is very important to participate in such actions, since we live here and clean for ourselves."Cleaning is a useful activity, and I am very glad to see so many well–wishers who are not lazy and help our country become cleaner and more beautiful," says the athlete.Activists of youth community centers from the Ecorangers movement, who contribute to the greening of our metropolis, were also seen at the eco-action."Since the beginning of the year, more than 200 eco–actions have been held in the city - these are not only clean-up days, but also recycling collection, educational lectures and so on. The youth of the megalopolis are now very actively participating in such events. I want to note that we, as eco-rangers, understand that Almaty should always be clean, that's why we are here," said Beibit Zhasulanuly, the activist coordinator of the Almaly district community center.Three units of special equipment were used to clean the territory, as a result, about 30 tons of garbage were removed. This is only a small part of the total volume of 1,300 tons of waste collected since the beginning of the Taza Kazakhstan initiative in Almaty. The main purpose of the event is to increase environmental awareness of citizens, form a culture of environmental protection and maintain cleanliness in the city. According to the organizers, such events contribute to strengthening the responsibility of society towards nature and help make Almaty a comfortable city for everyone.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/893736
Taza Kazakhstan: more than 500 residents of community centers came out for a clean-up day 01.12.2024
A large–scale citywide clean-up was held in Almaty today as part of the republican campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" and the campaign "Almaty is our common home".The event was attended by more than 500 residents from all community centers of the city. The participants actively helped in cleaning not only the territories of the centers, but also public places such as parks and squares. The youth who took part in the Saturday said that they traditionally participate in actions aimed at improving the environmental situation throughout the year."Environmental actions are not only a contribution to the cleanliness of the city, but also an opportunity to feel the unity of people who care about nature. Such events inspire us to change the world for the better with our efforts," said Tauasar Murathan, head of the community center of the Turksib district.Almaty community centers have become an important platform for the education of environmental awareness. According to the Almaty City Youth Policy Department, since the beginning of 2024, more than 1,500 events have been held in these spaces, including lectures, seminars, eco-actions, intellectual games, master classes, acoustic evenings, sports tournaments and much more. The total coverage amounted to more than 375 thousand people, including 27 thousand representatives of the NEET category.Since this year, Kazakhstan-made fandomats have been installed in all community centers — special devices for collecting plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Also, as part of the environmental campaign "Plastic reboot", residents of community centers collected 1 ton of plastic caps. Thus, visitors to this youth space form ecological values, and residents of community centers actively join the ranks of eco-rangers, supporting measures aimed at protecting the environment.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/893737
