Teaching safety basics from an early age: Emergency Situations Ministry rescuers conduct classes for children 09.02.2025
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to actively work on teaching children the basics of safety in emergency situations.   The goal of this work is not only to teach children to behave correctly in emergency situations, but also to instill a safety culture in children from an early age in order to prevent possible tragic situations in the future.   In a kindergarten in Shymkent, young pupils met with real rescuers. This educational event allowed children to learn how to behave in emergency situations and avoid dangers in everyday life. Rescuers told children about the rules of conduct in emergency situations and explained how important it is not to panic, but to immediately call 101 or 112 and quickly leave a dangerous place.   The practical part of the meeting included a “practice evacuation” of children from a building, during which the children were able to work out the algorithm of actions in case of a fire. The opportunity to try on the rescuers' uniforms and get acquainted with their equipment was a special joy.   At the Pavlodar comprehensive school, the Emergency Situations Department employees conducted a training course on the basics of fire safety for students in grades 4-6. The children learned how to prevent fires and properly use primary fire extinguishing equipment, including a fire extinguisher. The rescuers showed special equipment and told about its use, which aroused the children's interest.   Special attention was paid to the rules of conduct near water bodies and ice in winter. Experts explained the precautions that must be observed to avoid dangerous situations and explained in detail how to act in the event of an incident.   Another fire safety corner was organized at the Karaganda comprehensive school and the Karaganda Higher Polytechnic College. Students were able to clearly see the consequences of the fire: burnt household appliances, damaged gas cylinders and burnt elements of electrical equipment taken from the places of real incidents.   In addition, the EMERCOM employees demonstrated different types of fire extinguishers, explained their working principle and gave instructions on their proper use. An important part of the event was teaching the rules of first aid, which is especially relevant in emergency situations.   Such meetings are very important, because at an early age children master the necessary knowledge and skills. Regular classes with EMERCOM employees help to form a conscious attitude of the younger generation to issues of personal and public safety.    Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/emer/press/news/details/930926

"All conditions have been created for high-quality education": the director spoke about the "Comfortable School" project 09.02.2025
The Cozy School project is an investment in the future of Kazakhstan, allowing children to grow, learn and succeed in conditions that meet modern standards. Dana Orazalina, director of secondary school No. 33 in Astana, shared her opinion on the “Cozy School” project, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.According to the speaker, for this purpose, a modern school for children was built in the Urker residential area by order of the Head of State.“Our school is designed for 2 thousand students. All conditions have been created for high-quality education: modernly equipped classrooms, laboratories, a library with a reading room, a television studio, a spacious dining room, 4 gyms. Currently, more than 60 teachers work at the school, and more than 900 children are studying,” says Dana Orazalina.A feature of this school, which operates in one shift, is the high possibility of implementing additional education in the form of clubs and creative sections. There is also a study circle, dombra, chess, sports sections, and additional lessons in various subjects. Currently, in order to comprehensively support children and prevent various crimes, these events are being held free of charge by the staff of the collective.“Today, a parent support center has been opened at the school. The support center is called “School of Wisdom”. It provides various psychological assistance to parents. One of the main problems of modern schools is poor relations with the parent community, distrust of the school, and widespread condemnation of teachers by society. The center is trying to solve these problems together with parents. In addition, every Saturday there is a so-called “director's hour”. "There, parents who have little time due to work in the city will receive individual advice," says Dana Orazalina.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/astana/press/news/details/930633

A raid was held in the Saryarka district of Astana with the participation of government agencies and public representatives within the framework of the "Law and Order" project, the official website of the capital's akimat reported. The main goal is to identify and suppress the illegal circulation of alcohol, as well as prevent the sale of tobacco products to citizens under the age of 21. During the inspection, a number of retail outlets were inspected, two of which were found to have violations of the law. Administrative measures were taken against the violators, namely: - Article 423-1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan – illegal sale of tobacco products, including heated tobacco products, hookah mixtures and tobacco heating systems, to persons under the age of 21. - Article 200 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan – violation of the requirements for the sale of alcoholic beverages. “The raid showed that the illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco products is still a pressing problem. The sale of these products to minors and the circulation of counterfeit products pose a great threat to the health and safety of citizens. "We will continue to systematically conduct raids to eliminate such violations and promote law-abiding behavior and a healthy lifestyle in society," said Damir Khismatullin, chief specialist of the Saryarka district akim's office. The district akimat calls on entrepreneurs to strictly comply with the requirements of the law, and city residents to report the facts of illegal sale of alcohol and tobacco.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/astana/press/news/details/930884
