There are three large enterprises operating in the Koksu district of the Zhetisu region, which make a significant contribution to the production of agricultural products and ensuring food security. One of them is the Koksu Sugar Factory, where 250 thousand tons of sugar beet are processed per year. To date, the enterprise is fully loaded, and 29 billion tenge of investments will be attracted to increase capacity in 2025-2026. As a result of the expansion, the plant's capacity will be increased to 500 thousand tons of products per year. This became known today during a meeting of the akim of the region Beibit Isabayev with the population of the district, the press service of the akim of the region Zhetisu reports.- In our region, 13.7 thousand hectares were sown with sugar beet this year. It is planned to receive 615 thousand tons of raw materials, including 105 thousand tons of sweet root crops in the Koksu district. If only two plants produce 100 thousand tons of white sugar this year, including 73 thousand tons from sugar beet, 27 thousand tons of cane, of which 57 thousand tons will be produced by the Koksu sugar plant, – said the head of the region Beibit Isabayev.As it was noted, 1.4 thousand hectares or 59% of the 2.3 thousand hectares of sugar beet sown in the region have been harvested, 71.9 thousand tons of products have been obtained, while the average yield increased by 184.7 quintals compared to last year and amounted to 522 c/ha. At the same time, the yield in the region is 453.4 kg/ha.By the way, this year 4 farms joined together in the Koksu district in the beet sector, forming a service and procurement center. They leased 11 units of agricultural machinery worth 738 million tenge, including 4 combines and seeders, 3 harvesters.
