There are about 5,000 joint ventures operating in Kazakhstan. We propose to create a Kazakhstan–XUAR–Hong Kong Cooperation Council, which would work out specific proposals to enhance investment and trade and economic cooperation. We invite Hong Kong and XUAR enterprises to implement joint projects in Kazakhstan for the deep processing of Kazakhstani agricultural raw materials and the production of food products that could be exported to Hong Kong and the Greater Gulf region. For systematic financing of joint projects in Kazakhstan, XUAR and Hong Kong, we propose to establish a Joint Investment Fund with headquarters in Urumqi or Hong Kong," Serik Zhumangarin said.A proposal was made to create a joint research center in Kazakhstan for the development of sustainable plant varieties and technologies to increase yields. There is a willingness on the part of Kazakhstani companies to supply agricultural environmentally friendly products to Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, the Great Gulf, and Southeast China. Special attention was paid to the development of joint tourism. Ma Xingjui suggested that the three sides develop joint tourist routes that would allow tourists from Hong Kong to visit Urumqi at the same time and visit Kazakhstan. To do this, it is proposed to form regular aviation and land transport routes "Kazakhstan-XUAR-Hong Kong".For his part, Algernon Yau noted that Hong Kong ranks 3rd in the world among financial centers. As an aviation hub, it connects more than 200 locations around the world. There are plans to develop high-tech in the north of Hong Kong. "We welcome Kazakhstani enterprises that register in Hong Kong. They have the same access to the markets of the Great Gulf as Hong Kong companies. Hong Kong has great ties with the ASEAN countries, and if Kazakhstani enterprises are interested in cooperating with them, they can do so through Hong Kong," he said. Algernon Yau expressed hope for the early conclusion of an Agreement with Kazakhstan on the promotion and mutual protection of investments. Serik Zhumangarin informed that the Government of Kazakhstan is actively working on this document. The Kazakh side also expressed interest in the development of e-commerce and the experience of Hong Kong as one of the largest e-commerce markets in Asia. Yerbolat Dosayev: Modern technologies of solid waste collection will be introduced in Almaty 07.12.2024

Vandal-proof structures have been used, which ensures the durability and reliability of the infrastructure even under intensive operation.Special attention is paid to safety: reliable river crossings have been built, as well as sections of routes adapted for people with different levels of physical fitness. The work was carried out taking into account the high popularity of these areas among residents and visitors of the city. Convenient and safe routes are designed not only to improve the hiking experience, but also to emphasize the natural wealth of the region.A systematic approach to the improvement of Almaty's mountain routes contributes to the creation of new points of attraction for tourists. One of the striking examples is the bench installed in 2023 at the peak of the Baby as part of comprehensive infrastructure improvement works. Malysh Peak has already been popular among tourists and nature lovers, however, in order to increase interest in this route, there was a need for additional emphasis - now the bench has become an important element that has turned the object into a unique tourist attraction. The Almaty Tourism Department urges tourists and residents of the city to observe safety measures, take into account weather conditions, carefully prepare for mountain walks, and adhere to a culture of behavior in the natural environment. It is necessary to take care of nature and urban infrastructure, keep clean, clean up garbage and preserve the unique beauty of the surrounding landscapes for future generations.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/898155

Work is underway in Almaty to improve the sanitary condition 07.12.2024
As part of comprehensive measures to improve the sanitary condition and aesthetics of Almaty in 2025, it is planned to build 581 new container sites and install 1,683 deep-type containers. This became known during an extraordinary session of the maslikhat, at which the three-year budget of the city was approved.Modern containers will help to optimize the use of space, reduce the occupied area, prevent the appearance of unpleasant odors and provide reliable protection from birds and stray animals. Today, 786 such containers have already been installed in the city, which is an important step in creating a cleaner and more comfortable urban space for residents. In addition, in 2024, 1800 plastic euro containers with a volume of 1 m3 were purchased in Almaty for the collection of solid household waste. These containers will be transferred to garbage collection organizations, which will improve waste disposal processes.Recall that in 2012, 197 deep-type container sites were built in Almaty and 1,001 containers were installed. However, over 10 years of operation in an aggressive environment, these containers have undergone significant corrosion. For further operation of containers in Almaty, new products are purchased from a domestic manufacturer, which uses primary food-grade environmentally friendly polyethylene of high quality. These materials comply with international standards, and the production technology allows us to produce containers with a uniform thickness throughout the product, without seams and internal stresses, which significantly increases the reliability, strength and durability of containers.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/898162
