About 7,700 young people were employed in the Zhetysu region last year 14.02.2025
Last year, 7,695 young people under the age of 35 were employed with the support of employment agencies in Zhetysu region. Among them are young people who completed short-term vocational training, got a job, received grants and started their own businesses, - the press service of the akim of Zhetysu region reports.According to the regional Department of Coordination of Employment and Social Programs, last year, 1,322 people from among young people were employed in public works, 1,150 graduates in youth internships, 125 people in social jobs, 575 people under the "First Job", and 31 people under the "Generations Contract". In addition, there are both those who received grants and those who were trained in the basics of entrepreneurship under the "Bastau Business" project. For example, one of the 318 young people in the region who were sent for short-term vocational training is Aigerim Torebayeva from Taldykorgan. After the maternity leave, Aigerim put aside her journalism diploma and wanted to try herself in another field. So, she received a referral for short-term vocational training through the Career Center of Taldykorgan and mastered the intricacies of eyelash growth at the Tashenova Educational Center. After the three-month course, she was hired by the mentioned small business entity. - I am a mother of many children. Since my children were young, I stayed at home for a while to take care of them. Then I turned to the world of beauty and applied to the employment agency to learn a new profession. Thanks to this, in August of last year, I passed a training course and received my certificate. Highly qualified specialists taught me in detail the business of eyelash growth. In a short time in the beauty salon, I was able to show that I am a good specialist, and now I have my own regular customers. A person can learn a new profession at any time, it is never too late. I was convinced of this. It is gratifying that there are state programs that open up such opportunities, - says Aigerim Torebayeva, a mother of many children.According to the regional department of social development, last year more than 3 thousand young people were involved in meetings and explanatory work held in the region to inform about state programs and projects for youth. In this regard, there are many young people who participated in various grants and tried to open their own businesses. For example, Aiym Sailaubekova, who received higher education in psychology and speech therapy, heard about grants for young people while looking for a job in her specialty.- One day, I saw information on social networks about grants being awarded to young people on a competitive basis. I thought I would submit a project that would benefit the people for this competition and try my hand. So, I submitted a project to open a correctional center for children with special needs and won a grant of 3 million tenge. I immediately opened such a center in the city of Taldykorgan. I bought all the equipment needed for the center with the grant money. Currently, the center provides adapted physical education, sensory integration, logomassage services, and classes are conducted by speech therapists, defectologists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists. Currently, 12 people work in the center, - says the head of the "Sana" center, Ayim Sailaubekova. In total, last year, 10 grants were awarded under the "Independence Generations" grant for 3 million tenge each to support youth initiatives. Grants were presented in the areas of "Science", "Culture", "Information Technologies", "Business", and "Media" and helped young people start their own businesses. At the same time, special attention is paid to finding their place in life in the region, especially for young people in the NEET category. According to the data of the regional department of social development, last year, 635 people worked in the "Zhasyl el" labor camps aimed at providing seasonal employment to young people. Within the framework of the project, campaigns such as “Eco-landing”, “Cleanliness Spy”, “Long live young poplar”, “Green garden – clean city” were organized and cleaning measures were carried out in all districts and cities. In addition, 83 “Job Fairs” were organized, and 4,081 people were permanently employed. In addition, mentors for moral and legal work in regional schools are helping high school students choose a profession and take the right steps in their future adult life. This also has a positive impact on youth policy. It should be noted that today 126 people are working within the mentoring project in the region. They work in 9 areas: the rights and responsibilities of children and adolescents, prevention of drug addiction and gambling, suicide, bullying and cyberbullying, violence, formation of sexual integrity, healthy lifestyle, choice of profession and professional orientation, creative thinking, financial literacy.Let us recall that in total, last year, 35,643 jobs were created in the Zhetysu region, of which 22,719 were permanent jobs. 27,794 people were covered by active measures to promote employment, 23,286 people were employed, of which 13,261 were placed in permanent jobs.Press service of the akim of the Zhetysu region. The North Aral Sea is recovering: 1 billion cubic meters of water was sent to revive the Aral Sea, green belts have sprung up 14.02.2025
“The drying up of the Aral Sea and its transformation into a desert is a worrying problem. The region that has suffered an ecological disaster must be rehabilitated. In addition, it is necessary to effectively use the water resources of transboundary rivers. For this, water-saving technologies must be widely used,” said the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. From October 2024 to January of this year, 1 billion cubic meters of water were released into the North Aral Sea. This is 100 million cubic meters more than the planned volume. As a result of agreements reached with the countries of Central Asia, the total volume of water released into the North Aral Sea by the end of March 2025 will reach 1.6 billion cubic meters.Today, the total volume of water in the North Aral Sea is 22.1 billion cubic meters. At the beginning of 2022, it was 18.9 billion cubic meters. By the end of 2025, the volume of water in the sea is expected to reach 23.4 billion cubic meters. The area of the North Aral Sea is also increasing. Today, it has reached 3,065 square kilometers. This is 111 square kilometers more than at the beginning of 2022.The increase in the area and volume of the North Aral Sea has allowed to reduce water mineralization and restore the population of 22 species of fish. The annual catch has reached 8 thousand tons. The project "Preservation of the Kokaral Dam and Restoration of the Syrdarya River Estuaries" is nearing completion. Today, the construction of the "Taur" protective dam, the reconstruction of the dams in two sections between Lake Karashalan and the Syrdarya River, and the "Karachalan-1" canal and its main structure have been completed. It is planned to complete the reconstruction of the Kokaral Dam, which separates the North Aral Sea from the Big Aral Sea, by the end of the year. The implementation of the project will contribute to the preservation of the North Aral Sea and the reduction of water salinity. The use of laser leveling and water-saving technologies in the Kyzylorda region has saved about 200 million cubic meters of water and directed it to the North Aral Sea. 55 thousand hectares of rice fields have been leveled using laser leveling, which has helped to increase the average yield from 40-55 centners per hectare to 70-80 centners. To encourage the introduction of water-saving technologies, the amount of subsidies for farmers for infrastructure construction, purchase and installation of water-saving systems has been increased from 50% to 80%. The amount of subsidies for water supply for farmers using water-saving systems has been increased to 85% depending on the tariff.Planting work is continuing to rehabilitate the area in the Aral Sea basin. Today, 4.4 million seedlings have been planted in the drained territory of the Greater Aral Sea.In the period from 2021 to 2024, seeds and seedlings were planted on 475 thousand hectares. This year, it is planned to carry out greening work on 428 thousand hectares. As a result, by the end of 2025, the total volume of greening of the Aral Sea bed should reach 1.1 million hectares. It should be noted that from January 1, 2024, the chairmanship of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea passed to the Republic of Kazakhstan. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was elected President of the IAF until the end of 2026. The work plan of the IAF Executive Committee was approved during the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in 2024-2026. The document includes about 40 events in 10 different areas. The implementation of the President's instructions will provide employment to about 2,000 thousand people. The increase in the volume and area of the North Aral Sea reduces water mineralization, which helps preserve its biological diversity and contributes to the development of the Kyzylorda region's fisheries. The introduction of water-saving technologies and the development of water infrastructure will allow additional water to be pumped into the North Aral Sea, as well as help develop the region's agriculture.Landscaping the drained area of the Aral Sea will prevent soil erosion and help combat sand and salt storms. This will improve the ecological situation in the region and protect the health of local residents. Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/water/press/news/details/934374
