IAC: support for gallium production and processing of non-ferrous metals 11.07.2025
A meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Foreign Trade Policy and Participation in International Economic Organizations was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin. At the meeting, it was decided to reset the export customs duty on gallium, which previously amounted to 10%. The measure is aimed at stimulating gallium production in Kazakhstan and developing export potential.Despite the fact that gallium has not been produced in the country in recent years, global demand for this metal used in high-tech industries remains stable.
