Kazakh products will reach 341,000 shelves in China through cooperation 06.11.2025
At the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, QazTrade, the single export development operator under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, showcased the potential of cooperatives. This year, the country was represented at all four venues: the national pavilion, the All-China Federation of Cooperatives (China Co-Op) stand, the Jiangsu SOHO area, and, for the first time, a separate pavilion for the city of Almaty. This comprehensive approach attracted a record number of Kazakhstani producers. Thanks to the joint work of QazTrade and the National Association of Cooperatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NACOFEC) with China Coop, China's largest cooperative chain, the first batches of honey, kumys, shubat, and confectionery will soon appear on store shelves in China. The chain comprises over 340,000 stores, with an annual turnover exceeding 7 trillion yuan.More than 30 companies and cooperatives were represented at the Kazakhstani cooperatives' stand in Shanghai, including QazExport Global, GEOM LLP, OIL ECO LLP, Prombaza-7, SHERSTNEV GROUP, IceMaster, Dinastiya Agro, Kokshetau Mineral Water JSC, MADI, Nauryz-5, Run Planet Organic, JAIN LLP, Danaker LLP, Mareven Food Tien Shan, Telli Kazakhstan LLP, NefisGroup Ltd., Industry of Semirechye, KAZAGRO-PRO LLP, KOMEK ASIA GROUP, Light Way Solution LLP, LWS Agro LLP, LWS TERMINAL LLP, and Baraka No. 1. Their participation demonstrates the real potential of Kazakhstani cooperatives on the international stage. As President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev previously noted in his 2025 Address: "Rural cooperation offers great prospects for the development of the agricultural sector. A corresponding pilot project was implemented. As a result, crop yields in participating agricultural cooperatives doubled, and livestock growth increased by almost a quarter. This successful experience should be gradually scaled up across the country, taking into account regional specifics.""Entering the Chinese market through cooperation will allow domestic companies not only to enter the Chinese market but also to establish a strong presence there in the long term. Joint marketing research has already been conducted, the first trial deliveries have been organized, and priority product categories such as flour, vegetable oils, meat, honey, dairy drinks, and confectionery have been identified," noted QazTrade CEO Aitmuhammed Aldazharov.According to the speaker, a parallel acceleration and training program for Chinese companies is being launched, expanding their presence in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, thereby creating a mutually beneficial platform for the sustainable development of bilateral trade.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mti/press/news/details/1100001?lang=kk
