The Karaganda Regional Museum of Fine Arts invites everyone to the exhibition of exhibits received in 2024. Among them are unique canvases dedicated to the fate of the Kazakh people, and previously unknown works by a Karaganda painter, accidentally discovered on the outskirts of the city.A total of 117 art objects have been added to the museum's collections this year. Of these, 72 are paintings and graphic canvases, sculptures, objects of decorative and applied art. They got into the main fund. Another 45 items – posters, booklets, newspaper clippings, photographs – ended up in the museum's scientific and auxiliary fund. All these exhibits were given to the museum for free. Some of them were donated after exhibitions and various events, some were brought to the museum by relatives of Karaganda artists. Also this year, the funds were replenished with works by foreign masters.– A good friend of our museum, Valentin Danilenko, sent us graphic and paintings by Baltic artists by mail. There are 19 authors in total, and 20 are published with him. He gave us 47 works. These artists are all alive, working in various techniques, including modern ones. For example, one of them is Vitaly Ermolaev, an artist who came up with his own technique – light painting," said Dameli Dankeeva, chief curator of the Karaganda Regional Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition also features a triptych by the Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR Mingish Abylkasov. Paintings dedicated to the famine of the 1930s were donated to the museum's funds by his family after the artist's memorial exhibition.Art connoisseurs will also get acquainted with the works of the Karaganda artist Vladimir Belichenko. – Unfortunately, he passed away early, we know very little about him. He was born in 1950 and graduated from the Kharkov Art College. His relatives told us this. There are no other details about his life. His works were found in a garbage dump in Maikuduk. By a happy coincidence, a teacher from school No. 61 was passing by. She noticed the work and brought it to school. With the permission of the administration of this school, the works were transferred to the museum's funds," says Dameli Dankeeva. The exhibition "New Exhibits – 2024" will run at the Karaganda Regional Museum of Fine Arts until December 22, 2024.
