The first meeting of the Regional Policy Project Office was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev 13.01.2025
In order to improve regional policy and ensure balanced social and economic development of the regions, a project office was established under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev. It included all central government bodies, akimats, deputies of Parliament and experts.During the first meeting, members of the project office discussed measures to implement new approaches to regional development, paying special attention to unlocking the potential of the regions."It is necessary to fully utilize the potential of the regions, while directing funding to the regions with the greatest infrastructure problems. It is necessary to give the regions maximum autonomy in financing projects, including taking into account their focus on achieving the final result. "It is also necessary to encourage regions for over-fulfilling tax revenues," said Kanat Bozumbayev. In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed measures to prevent disparities in the development of regions, the development of new strategic documents, as well as the lack of autonomy of district and village akims in making decisions in local areas. To develop local self-government, deputies of the Amanat party, together with the State Service Agency, proposed launching the “School of Akims” project.“For the effective implementation and high-quality selection of villages where projects will be implemented, regional akimats, together with the sub-group for the development of local self-government, should conduct screening, identifying the specialization of each village, developing specific plans for the construction of the necessary infrastructure and assistance in the sale of products,” Kanat Bozumbayev instructed. The Vice Prime Minister gave instructions on improving the legislation in the field of local self-government.“Inter-sectoral coordination between state bodies is weak. This practice must be eliminated. It is necessary to carry out coordinated implementation of regional and sectoral policies. "The implementation of budget programs and investment plans should be carried out synchronously," Kanat Bozumbayev noted.State bodies were instructed to conduct an audit of departmental regulatory legal acts on all proposed measures for the implementation of the developed measures to improve regional policy within a month.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kyzylorda/press/news/details/915725
International Choreographers' Day: The development of dance art in Kazakhstan 13.01.2025
January 9 is International Choreographers' Day. This holiday unites creative people and reminds us of the special importance of dance as an artistic language. An institution that plays an important role in the development of choreographic art is the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography in Astana. This is the only educational institution in the country that provides multi-level education in dance art. Here, traditions and modern trends intertwine, and professionalism reaches a world-class level. In 2024, the Academy became a member of the International Dance Education Alliance (WDEA), opening up new horizons for international cooperation. Students of the Academy have always proven their high level of preparation, winning prizes at such prestigious festivals as "Arabesque", "Budapest Ballet Grand Prix" and "Riga Spring". Last year alone, students brought 49 international awards to our country. In addition, in 2024, 46 students of the Academy participated in the opening ceremony of the V World Nomad Games. The performances of this prestigious event were staged by famous choreographers - Evgeny Moiseyev, Amina Samarbayeva, Gumar Sultanbek and Nima Tokov. They proved that Kazakh dance art can conquer the largest stages. The Academy also actively organizes national-level competitions. Among them, the most notable are the Dauren Abirov Men's Solo Dance Competition and the Shara Zhienkulova Kazakh Dance Competition. Another important event is the "Temps lie" international ballet festival. Master classes regularly organized at the Academy invite famous choreographers and inspire students to creative pursuits. In addition, cooperation with the world's leading theaters and dance schools allows Academy students to participate in tours and performances on major stages such as Slovenia, Turkey, and Dubai. One of the Academy's most important events this year is the unique gala ballet "Nomad Gala" and "Nomad Inspiration" to be held at the Astana Opera House. The director of this performance, which combines national motifs and modern choreography, is Academy graduate Gumar Sultanbek. The project partner is the ethno-folk group "HasSak". International Choreographers' Day is a great reason to celebrate the importance of dance art, which unites people and inspires new achievements.   Press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of KazakhstanSource : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mam/press/news/details/915648
