Today the Almaty Mayor’s Administration and the Almaty City Court have signed a Memorandum on a mutual cooperation in the field of development and active implementation of the institutes of pre-trial and extrajudicial settlement of conflicts. The Memorandum on cooperation has been signed by the Mayor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baybek and the Head of the Almaty City Court Akzhan Yeshtay.During the arrangement, the Mayor of Almaty emphasized that signing this Memorandum on cooperation has the only goal - ensuring harmony and stability in society."One of the ways of extrajudicial settlement of disputes is mediation. For our people, the institution of mediation is close to its historical roots: all conflicts had been solved by biys and aqsaqals. Now we can see that our citizens, unfortunately, do not often find a consensus and go to the court or appeal to the mayor, etc. So, as the Head of state said, "the fundamental of a successful state is a trinity. It is the government, the business, and the civil society - and they must work together", - B. Baybek said.On the basis of the agreement concluded, the Mayor's Administration and the City Court will start a systematic cooperation in conducting explanatory work among the population within the three priority areas on opening the offices of mediation in the district Mayor's Administrations of Almaty, bringing the representatives of non-governmental sector and the civil society to the development of the institution of amateur mediation.Note: Mediation is the ability to negotiate, to reach a consensus in the disputes and conflicts - a decision being mutually beneficial to both parties. There is an idea that if a model of the socio-political structure of the country is based on the mediation, it means that civil institutions are well developed in such a society. The development of mediation is focused on the consolidation of various ways and means of reaching a compromise between the parties in the legal disputes, both in the court and out of the court.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/10814?lang=kk

All the works will be completed with the appropriate quality and in the optimal time, "Bauyrzhan Baibek noted. The governor of Almaty also asked the citizens to wait a bit and expressed confidence that, under the joint control of the authorities and the public, construction companies will in the future still come to the so-called building culture, when repair work will pass for the townspeople more insignificantly and without any inconvenience.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/10037?lang=kk
The governor of Almaty is planning to renew public transport to 80% this year 10.04.2025
Today the city's auto park has 1560 buses. At the end of the year, it is planned to increase the share of new public transport to almost 80%.It should be reminded that last year 479 buses were bought, 80% of them w ere purchased from the local budget. This year 569 buses are planned to be bought , 65% of them are from private companies.15 buses of the ISUZU brand, Olzhas LTD LLP, were purchased by the private carrier of LLP "Duman Trans" on the route number 17, buses of a similar brand were used to service route No. 62. LLP "Talap T" purchased five new buses of the brand Yutong to strengthen the route number 57.At the same time, there continue to be complaints about the quality of service provided by a number of private carriers, including Green Bus, which covers almost 40% of the market. Until now, there are facts of the demand for cash payment and the corresponding secret "plan", a low service culture, etc. According to the head of the city, if the carriers are not put in order, it is necessary to limit the support of the city."For us, the most important thing is the service. We are completely focused on the interests of citizens. We had a good service: people are happy, the buses are new and clean, the drivers are cultural, then we are providing subsidies. Some criterion is not fulfilled - we take money.Three years ago we started the transport reform and created a transparent system that allows private companies to invest their own funds. We initially told the carriers - legalize, show your income and expenses. For example, today the company "Duman Trans" invested its own funds and another half got in the bank thanks to the same electronic system of billing. The bank would never give money to develop an opaque business, "said Bauyrzhan Baibek.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/10017?lang=kk
In Almaty there was an increase in tax revenues from SMB 10.04.2025
"A demonstrative measure of business activity is a 6% increase in tax revenues to the budget from small and medium-sized businesses for a total of KZT37 billion only for the seven months of 2018. At the same time, the share of SMB proceeds from the total volume for the mentioned period has already made up more than 60%, namely 661.2 billions tenge," said Ilyas Userov.According to him, the highly competitive environment is an important link in checking the business for demand on the part of the modern consumer."This is the main factor of leaving the market of uncompetitive entities, which is normal for market relations. In addition, the simplification of the procedure for removing the IP account from the account, enabled citizens, who have been in the status of IP, but who have not carried out entrepreneurial activities for various reasons, withdraw from this status. Since the beginning of the year, about 2 thousand SMB have been liquidated, which also affected the statistics of business accounting, in the form of a decrease in the number of operating SMB by 1.3%," he said.He also added that today there is a positive trend in the share of SMB in the GRP of the city from 34% to 38.5%, and the output of SMEs increased by 9.8%."The state takes active measures to fully support and develop business. In 2018, 6.2 billions tenge was allocated for the implementation of the "Business Road Map 2020". Thanks to the work carried out, about 1000 jobs have been saved, more than 500 are planned to be created. The work already carried out today positively affects the performance of small and medium-sized businesses. Already, there is an increase in the output of SMB in comparison with the planned values determined by 2020. For example, the volume of output of SMB by the results of 2017 is 2.5 times higher than the planned values for 2020," concluded the head of the Economy and Budget Planning Department of AlmatyIt is worth noting that today Almaty forms the fifth part of the country's GDP. At the same time, the city's economy is actively developing, as evidenced by the positive growth of important economic indicators. So, for 7 months of 2018 the volume of investments grew by 21.6%, retail trade - by 10.1%, wholesale - by 0.9%, construction - by 2.7%, industry - by 4.7%.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/9993?lang=kk

As part of the event, volunteers visited the home of Nikolai Aleksandrovich Taratunin, a 102-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War living in the Turksib district. The volunteers helped the veteran with the household, carried out cleaning work and provided the necessary support, thus expressing gratitude for his contribution to victory and peaceful life. The campaign emphasizes the importance of caring for the older generation and strengthening social unity in society.During the war, Nikolai Alexandrovich served in the border troops and received a number of awards. As the veteran's son noted, his father was always distinguished by his strong character, loyalty and hard work. It is worth noting that students from school No. 49 often visit Nikolai Alexandrovich's house, help him and clean up the yard. The veteran is not left without attention by employees of social protection structures, as well as servicemen of the Turksib Military Committee, who monitor his health, solve household problems, provide medical services and material support.Nikolai Taratunin's son, expressing gratitude to the volunteers, singled out the symbolic holding of the campaign on Thanksgiving Day.As part of the “Help Your Neighbor” project, Almaty volunteers visited the house of 90-year-old Tamara Georgievna Ufimtseva. They also cleaned the yard from ice, snow, and garbage.“May God grant you health! When would I take all this away? Thank you very much,” the retiree told the volunteers. In addition, the volunteers helped retiree Viktor Sakovich repair and install furniture. Viktor Mikhailovich is an engineer-designer who lost his sight some time ago. However, in difficult life circumstances, he was not left alone.“This was an unexpected and pleasant event. Financing of the real sector of the economy discussed with experts in the ministry of economy 06.04.2025
The second meeting of the Expert Council under the Ministry of National Economy was dedicated to discussing the financing of the real sector of the economy. It was attended by 20 people, half of whom were independent experts. As Vice-Prime Minister – minister of national economy Serik Zhumangarin noted, the active start of financing the real sector of the economy is the third stage of economic reform aimed at increasing Kazakhstan's GDP. The first is the adoption of the new Budget Code, the second is work on the draft Tax Code.Vice-Minister of national economy Arman Kasenov spoke about the government's main initiatives for financing projects in the real sector of the economy.Currently, the ratio of investment to GDP is at the level of 14-15% and is objectively low. To achieve higher rates of economic growth and the task set by the Head of State – to bring GDP to $450 billion by 2029 – investments should increase by 2,75 times, from $40 billion in 2024 to $103 billion in 2029. And this needs to be ensured through initiatives that the government is now proposing – to allocate 1 trillion tenge through Baiterek Holding to provide business lending for 8 trillion tenge», - said the vice-minister.In addition to increasing the volume of investments in investment projects, the vice-minister outlined another, no less important problem – the lack of a sufficient number of high-quality investment projects.The problem of financing is a partial problem. Another significant one is the shortage of quality projects. This is also noted by international financial development institutions. And when we talk about increasing project financing from $40 billion to $103 billion, we understand that the task is not only in finance, but also in the quality of investments», - emphasized Arman Kasenov. The main points of growth are high-performance export-oriented projects. These are metal processing, oil and gas, agriculture and food production, petrochemistry and coal chemistry, and others.Head of Baiterek Holding Rustam Karagoishin spoke about the holding's financing model, which includes 60% market funding and 40% budget lending. In 2025, the total volume of financing from Baiterek will amount to 8 trillion tenge, of which 3,75 trillion tenge will be provided in national currency at a rate of 12,6%, 2.25 trillion also in national currency at a market rate, and 2 trillion in foreign currency. Our main task is to unify rates at 12.6% for the final consumer. This unification will allow second-tier banks to participate in almost all areas where Baiterek is present today, - Rustam Karagoishin noted. - Over time, when the base rate decreases to an acceptable level, banks will take the lion's share of financing the economy. And Baiterek and other development institutions will become a kind of instrument for large-scale niche projects focused on export.Many questions and suggestions were voiced by independent experts. In particular, CEO of AERC Zhanibek Aigazin asked how the priority of projects for preferential financing is determined and how they are evaluated from the point of view of return on investment and contribution to GDP growth. The share of the manufacturing industry in GDP is 12%, and this share is not growing significantly, despite our efforts. He suggested paying special attention to the development and expansion of infrastructure capacity, which, in his opinion, will have a greater overall effect on the economy, since we all use infrastructure.Serik Zhumangarin replied that agriculture, mining, and trade provide the greatest return on investment in terms of GVA today. Transport and warehousing are emerging as active growth drivers. Priority in financing through Baiterek will be given to projects for creating high value-added products in metallurgy, petrochemistry and coal chemistry, food production, IT, AI, logistics and others. And for infrastructure development, there is a national infrastructure plan, according to which it is planned to modernize, build and repair 13 thousand km of roads, repair about 1480 km of railway tracks and build new railway lines already this year.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/economy/press/news/details/962390?lang=kk
