More than 86 thousand applications for disability were considered in correspondence format 02.12.2024
Since the beginning of 2024, more than 86 thousand applications from all regions of Kazakhstan have been considered as part of the pilot project on the correspondence format of medical and social expertise to establish a disability group. To date, the examination in correspondence format is carried out in 30 nosological forms. In 2023, over 76.4 thousand applications were considered in correspondence format, which is 30.4% of the total number of persons with disabilities who passed the examination. As previously reported, at the VI meeting of the National Council of Public Trust, the Head of State instructed to create the most favorable conditions for people with special needs, eliminate their going to authorities and paperwork, as well as contact between service providers and service recipients. In order to fulfill this order, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministries of Health and Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, is piloting a project on the correspondence format of medical and social expertise (hereinafter - ITU) in all 20 regions of Kazakhstan. To receive a disability group identification service, the applicant only needs to contact the polyclinic at the place of residence and undergo the necessary examination, the rest of the processes take place without his participation due to the integration of information systems.Transition to a correspondence examination:- eliminates administrative and bureaucratic barriers;- ensures transparency of ITU expert decisions;- provides an opportunity to receive services for the identification of disability and the definition of social protection measures for persons with disabilities without leaving home;- eliminates direct contact of the service recipient with the service provider, thereby minimizing corruption risks.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/enbek/press/news/details/893793

Priority directions for the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan have been developed 01.12.2024
In Kazakhstan, the protection of cultural heritage is one of the priorities, especially given its unique and cultural wealth. Thanks to participation in UNESCO Conventions, our country manages to include its cultural sites in the UNESCO lists, thereby declaring its heritage to the world community. But this circumstance requires us to fulfill certain obligations to protect and preserve this heritage. To this end, in August of this year, a working group was established under the chairmanship of Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva, designed to coordinate the efforts of central and local executive authorities, members of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO, as well as scientists, archaeologists, ethnographers and representatives of public associations. This strategic initiative is aimed not only at preserving the world heritage, which includes significant historical and architectural monuments, but also at protecting elements of the intangible cultural heritage, bearers of tradition, rituals, language, music and crafts, as well as documentary heritage. All this plays a fundamental role in shaping cultural identity, strengthening national identity and passing on our values to the next generations.Aida Balayeva emphasized the need for systematic and coordinated work of all interested structures, emphasizing the importance of coordinating efforts for the successful implementation of the tasks set and the implementation of the provisions of the Conventions that effectively preserve the national cultural heritage. To date, two meetings of the working group have already been held, during which the participants have developed and proposed key areas of work necessary for the effective implementation of the protection of cultural heritage.During the meeting held on November 30 in Almaty, the participants presented the work plans of three subgroups, each of which focuses on specific aspects of the protection and popularization of cultural heritage. Thus, among the presented work plans, three key areas are highlighted: the protection and popularization of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as documentary heritage within the framework of the UNESCO Memory of the World program. The plans provide for measures to improve the skills of specialists, develop and implement training modules on methods for identifying and developing intangible cultural heritage. The Minister emphasized that the training should be meaningful and useful, with a focus on practical skills.Among other important areas of work, the members of the working group noted inventory and comprehensive research work. The need to carry out an inventory of tangible and intangible heritage sites, the need to digitize existing data, develop a strategy for popularizing cultural heritage at the international and local levels, nominate new objects and elements to UNESCO Lists.A special aspect is the development of methods for the effective management and protection of UNESCO-protected sites through the active involvement of local authorities and public associations to participate in the protection and promotion of heritage sites, as well as the organization of regular events and awareness-raising campaigns among the local population on the importance of cultural heritage. In general, the work plans presented by the heads of the working groups include a wide range of measures aimed at preserving and popularizing the intangible, tangible and written heritage of our country. These initiatives will be taken into account by the Ministry of Culture and Information for further implementation, which will significantly strengthen the protection and development of Kazakhstan's cultural heritage. In Almaty, Olympic medalists and pop stars showed an example of respect for the city 01.12.2024
Within the framework of the concept of "Taza Kazakhstan", on the last day of autumn and the week of cleanliness in Almaty, environmental actions are being held to clean citywide spaces. In the Bostandyk district, about 250 people, among them Olympic medalists, pop stars, and active youth, put the site at the intersection of Shagabutdinova - Satpayev in order.According to Akim of Bostandyk district Sanjar Alin, today there are 5 contractors in the district that are engaged in sanitary cleaning of yards. Employees of the State Enterprise "Almaty Tazalyk" clean the road infrastructure."We have 670 yards. In order to monitor the cleaning work, we are in constant contact with the Chairmen of the AXIS and KSK. If contractors do not fulfill their obligations, we receive a signal through messengers and try to respond promptly. In case of violations, we apply penalties, first to the head of the site. If the case repeats, then we impose a fine on the organization itself – the amount is much higher there. If the contractor does not correct the situation, then we terminate the contract through the court. To date, we have one contractor to whom we have sent a pre-trial letter with requirements. If he does not respond, we will sue and break off relations," said the akim of the district.Among the participants of the action was a Kazakhstani freestyle wrestler, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, silver medalist of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, deputy of the Maslikhat of Almaty Islam Bayramukov."As long as humanity has existed, the issue of cleanliness in the house and respect for the environment, for the city in which you live, will remain relevant. Cleaning urban spaces by joint efforts is a very important and necessary action, since Almaty has always been famous for its cleanliness and greenery. I think that this tradition should not be interrupted, and it should also be supported with the involvement of young people, residents of the city. Most importantly, when a person's inner world is clean, he will not litter. Everyone should be responsible for their actions," Islam Bayramukov stressed.Kazakh pop stars did not stay away either. Singer Oktem Altaev called on all citizens to support this initiative to clean up the city."Every weekend we cleaned this area, but there is no less garbage here. I would like to urge the local residents of this site not to litter and keep clean, because this is our common home. And in general, Almaty residents, I urge you to join the action," said Oktem Altaev.Olympic medalists of the Paris 2024 Olympics also came to clean up."Today we came to maintain the cleanliness of our city, as well as to help all the workers who clean Almaty from garbage. I am very glad to see that students and athletes are joining the campaign and trying to put our city in order. I think this is very good, because cleanliness starts with you," says 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Islam Satpayev. In turn, Olympic bronze medalist Alexandra Lee noted that it is very important to participate in such actions, since we live here and clean for ourselves."Cleaning is a useful activity, and I am very glad to see so many well–wishers who are not lazy and help our country become cleaner and more beautiful," says the athlete.Activists of youth community centers from the Ecorangers movement, who contribute to the greening of our metropolis, were also seen at the eco-action."Since the beginning of the year, more than 200 eco–actions have been held in the city - these are not only clean-up days, but also recycling collection, educational lectures and so on. The youth of the megalopolis are now very actively participating in such events. I want to note that we, as eco-rangers, understand that Almaty should always be clean, that's why we are here," said Beibit Zhasulanuly, the activist coordinator of the Almaly district community center.Three units of special equipment were used to clean the territory, as a result, about 30 tons of garbage were removed. This is only a small part of the total volume of 1,300 tons of waste collected since the beginning of the Taza Kazakhstan initiative in Almaty. The main purpose of the event is to increase environmental awareness of citizens, form a culture of environmental protection and maintain cleanliness in the city. Real heroes keep Almaty clean 01.12.2024
Today, superheroes – Hulk, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman - approached the janitors on the promenade area in front of the Atakent business cooperation center during cleaning. They decided to help with the cleaning and urged the townspeople to keep the city clean.Despite the fact that superheroes are usually engaged in saving the world, it was not shameful for them to pick up brooms and sweep the streets. Spider-Man, for example, invited passers-by to join him and clean the sidewalk."I approached the townspeople and offered to help with the cleaning – someone refused to take a broom and sweep, someone willingly agreed. One Kyzylorda resident said that Almaty is very clean and clean-up days are very often held. I also taught the children how to sweep – they were happy to do it. A boy named Egor told me that Almaty is clean because there are a lot of cleaners here," said Spider-Man.Batman and Superman were helped by a cleaning lady to take a garbage truck to the car. The Hulk also "pushed" a dump truck that got stuck on the road."I really liked that the guys and I helped with street cleaning. This is a new experience for me, comparable to the struggle for peace. I really appreciate the janitors' work – they are great fellows, I couldn't do it like that. We have very friendly people who always keep the city clean," Superman said. The cleaners themselves were at first completely perplexed, mistaking the appearance of superheroes for a prank."Today there was a clean-up day in the city, we were cleaning the territory near the Atakent and superheroes came up to us, who decided to help by taking our brooms, and they treated us to hot tea. It is very pleasant that our work is appreciated and given such attention. Let's keep the city clean. We ask the citizens to bring the garbage to the trash can – this would make our work easier. Thanks to the organizers for such a wonderful action," said the cleaner Tatey Kystaubaeva.Employees of nearby cafes and shops also drew attention to this action – many went outside to take pictures with superheroes."I am a resident of Almaty. I saw superheroes cleaning the street today. I would like to express my gratitude to the akimat, which monitors the cleanliness of the city. I want to say that Almaty is getting cleaner and more beautiful every year. I see that the cleaning equipment is being updated, which makes it easier for the janitors to work. An army of cleaners cleans the city every day – it's a great job," said Kanat Dyusenbiyev, head of the security service of the shopping center. The organizers of the environmental action explained their actions by the desire to draw the attention of residents and guests of Almaty to the issue of cleanliness. Such events contribute to strengthening the responsibility of society towards nature and help make Almaty a comfortable city for everyone.Recall that as part of the Cleanliness Week, city utilities have completed the preparation of the city for cold and snowfall.
