During the Parliamentary hearings in the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issue "Food security is the main component of national security", Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov announced the need to distribute tools with a preferential rate of 5%, except for spring field and harvesting operations and other key areas.In order to meet the current needs of farmers, with the support of the Government, the Ministry is working to saturate the industry with affordable preferential financial resources.These measures allow farmers not only to purchase the necessary materials and equipment in a timely manner, but also to reduce the cost of production, thereby increasing its price and quality attractiveness.Thus, this year 580 billion tenge was allocated for spring field and harvesting operations, of which 400 billion tenge were private investments. In 2025, the volume of financing is planned to increase to 700 billion tenge, while the level of extra-budgetary funds will be increased to 560 billion tenge."For the first time, financing started at the end of November. As of today, a pool of applications from 695 agricultural producers has been formed in the amount of 85 billion tenge. Currently, preferential borrowed funds are allocated only for spring field and harvesting operations. However, we believe that such instruments with a preferential rate of 5% should be extended to other key areas of the agricultural sector.
