On November 8 and 11, 2024, with the participation of representatives of the territorial departments of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the police and local executive bodies, classes were held for managers and staff of physical culture and sports facilities in the region, as well as the Yubileyny cinema aimed at identifying and eliminating the causes and conditions conducive to terrorist activities.The following information was provided during the event:- requirements for the organization of anti-terrorist protection of objects vulnerable to terrorism approved by Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 6, 2021 No. 305;- rules for the functioning of the National Video Monitoring System, approved by Order No. 69-ke of the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 27, 2020;- updating of the passport of anti-terrorist protection of objects vulnerable to terrorism, based on the model approved by the joint order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 14, 2023 No. 481 and the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 26, 2023 No. 51/ke;- signs of an improvised explosive device and the algorithm of actions when they are detected;- a scheme for notifying on-duty services in order to minimize and eliminate the consequences of terrorist threats;- the inevitability of punishment for deliberately false messages;- rules for the establishment and payment of remuneration for information that helped to prevent or suppress an act of terrorism. In the Karaganda region, emergency personnel, together with the deputy akim of the region, conducted a detour of flood-prone areas of Bukhar-Zhyrau and Nurinsky districts. During the detour, the progress of preparatory flood control works for 2025 was examined in the village named after Gabiden Mustafin, the villages of Chkalovo, Sadovoye and Kyzyl-Zhyr of Bukhar-Zhyrau district, in the villages of Kantai, Kertendy, Akmeshit Mynbayev and in the village of Nura of Nurinsky district.During the inspection, the head of the Emergency Department and the deputy akim of the Karaganda region assessed the work carried out and made recommendations.In general, the main flood control measures in the settlements of the region have been completed, more than 150 measures have been implemented in 55 settlements, where about 50 km of protective shafts have been erected and strengthened, culvert capacity has been increased on 49 sections of highways, 18 km of flood-prone riverbeds have been rehabilitated, 6 km of drainage channels have been cleaned.To date, flood control works are continuing in the Shetsky, Abaysky and Karkaralinsky districts. On November 11, 2024, a Diplomatic conference on the conclusion and Adoption of an Agreement on Industrial Design Laws began its work in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).The main purpose of the agreement is to simplify and harmonize national legislation in order to increase the accessibility and effectiveness of legal protection of industrial designs in the international arena. The adoption of the agreement will allow the countries to integrate into the global innovation ecosystem, contributing to the growth of international cooperation and the exchange of advanced technologies in the field of industrial design.The event is attended by about 900 delegates representing member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), as well as intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.The Kazakh delegation was headed by Minister of Justice Azamat Eskarayev.The official ceremony was opened by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Fl-Swaylem, Director General of the Saudi Patent Office.
