To date, the average price for a dozen eggs of this category on retail shelves is 540 tenge. Egg prices vary depending on the region. In the capital, the average cost of a dozen eggs of category C1 was 609 tenge, while the minimum price was fixed in Petropavlovsk – 462 tenge. In other regions, prices fluctuate as follows:Almaty — 600 tengeShymkent — 530 tengeAktau — 569 tengeUst-Kamenogorsk — 584 tengeTaraz — 483 tengeKyzylorda — 479 tenge Kostanay — 497 tengeAktobe — 493 tengeAtyrau — 498 tengeTurkestan — 498 tengeZhezkazgan — 547 tengeKokshetau — 500 tengeKaraganda and Uralsk — 518 tenge Konaev — 574 tengePavlodar — 520 tengeFamilies — 516 tengeTaldykorgan — 552 tengeThe Bureau of National Statistics evaluates the cost of eggs of the first category in regional centers and cities of national importance, in markets, shops and retail chains. The survey includes commercially available eggs, and the cost is tracked throughout the year.To prevent an unjustified increase in egg prices in 2024, a Memorandum was signed with the Association of Egg Producers and the Union of Poultry Farmers, which sets the maximum selling price of eggs from producers at 51.5 tenge per piece from the factory warehouse. This is the maximum price for eggs of the first category, both in trays and in loose form. It is important to note that C1 eggs packed in a box are sold more expensive due to the cost of packaging and other costs of poultry farms. The terms of the Memorandum do not apply to eggs packed in a box.According to operational monitoring data, eggs in the markets and shops of the country are sold at a price from 435 tenge per dozen (in Ulytau region, tray 30 pcs.) to 540-600 tenge (East Kazakhstan region, 2225 tenge per tray 30 pcs.), taking into account the trade margin. For example, in the Magnum store in Astana, eggs of category C1 from the manufacturer "Chicken Ryaba" are sold at a price of 1,590 tenge for a tray of 30 pcs. (at 530 tenge per dozen), and eggs under the brand "Meadow Field" – at a price of 1,619 tenge for a tray of 30 pcs. (540 tenge per dozen). In the Small network, eggs are sold at a price of 510 tenge per dozen. The price of products depends on many factors, such as deliveries from small wholesalers to convenience stores and large wholesale deliveries from poultry farms to markets. Large retail chains sign long-term contracts with manufacturers. The Trade Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan monitors compliance with trade legislation. Since the beginning of 2024, 4,398 violations have been identified, including 197 cases of unjustified price increases for eggs. In response, 3,636 traders were issued warnings, and 762 were fined.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mti/press/news/details/891347

Kazakhstan on the way to the development of franchising: new rules of the game 27.11.2024
The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a workshop on the development of franchising in the country. The meeting brought together representatives of government agencies, entrepreneurs and experts to discuss current amendments to the legislation on franchising initiated by the Central Asian Franchise Association (CAAF), as well as to develop support measures for this important industry.First Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aizhan Bizhanova, opening the meeting, stressed the importance of franchising for the economy of Kazakhstan."The field of franchising in Kazakhstan is very large and important from the point of view of trade turnover. We need to resolve the current issues of regulation of this sphere in order to ensure its stable development. This area is one of the key areas for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. We must create conditions that will allow entrepreneurs to effectively develop their franchises and attract investments," she said.During the discussion, the meeting participants focused on the need to modernize existing legislation, which, as noted, is of a framework nature and does not reflect modern realities. Gulbanu Maigarina, Chairman of the Central Asian Franchise Association, added:"Today we are facing serious problems in the field of protecting the rights of franchisors and franchisees. It is necessary to create clear rules of the game that will ensure the protection of the interests of all market participants." Discussing the existing problems faced by franchisors and franchisees in Kazakhstan, the participants also noted the need to introduce self-regulation mechanisms in the field of franchising."Business is a dynamically developing sphere, and the state may not always be competent enough in this matter. We must create conditions for self—regulation so that the market can develop according to its own rules," said Beksultan Mukatov, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Integration of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken".The meeting participants also discussed the importance of creating a licensing system for franchise packers."There are many packers on the market today, but not all of them act in good faith. We must establish requirements for their competence and responsibility," Mukatov stressed. He also suggested considering the introduction of the institution of licensed brokers for franchise registration and the development of mandatory regulations that disclose the financial model of the franchise."We are witnessing how franchising is becoming the engine of the economy in the world. In the USA, for example, it occupies 3% of GDP. We need to create conditions for franchising to become as important for Kazakhstan," Mukatov added. An important aspect of the discussion was the involvement of international experience in the development of franchising in Kazakhstan. The meeting participants noted that successful practices applied in countries such as the USA and European countries can become the basis for the formation of an effective franchise system in Kazakhstan.Following the meeting, it was decided to create a working group with the participation of representatives of government agencies, business and public organizations. This will make it possible to comprehensively work out and discuss detailed amendments to legislation, as well as the preparation of measures to support successful franchises, including the export of their models abroad. "Franchising should become one of the drivers of the Kazakh economy. We see its potential not only as a tool for SMEs, but also as a platform for bringing ready-made projects to foreign markets. It is important to create conditions under which every business can grow sustainably and safely," the First Vice Minister of Trade summed up.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mti/press/news/details/891275

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE CENTRAL LIBRARY OF ALMATY: UNIQUE OLIF OPERATIONS IN NEUROSURGERY 26.11.2024
The first operations using the OLIF (Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion) technique were performed for the first time in the Central City Clinical Hospital of Almaty. This innovative minimally invasive approach has opened up new possibilities in the treatment of spinal diseases.OLIF, or "oblique lumbar interbody fixation", is used to restore intervertebral discs and stabilize the spine in the following pathologies: degenerative spinal changes, herniated intervertebral discs, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis and kyphosis. The technique allows to significantly reduce the traumatic nature of the intervention, accelerate the recovery process and minimize the rehabilitation period. The operations were performed by leading neurosurgeons of Kazakhstan: Talgat Kerimbayev, Head of the Spinal Neurosurgery Department of the National Scientific Center of Neurosurgery (NCNH), Chief Spinal Neurosurgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Marat Almatov, Head of the Neurosurgery Department of the Central City Clinical Hospital of Almaty."OLIF allows operations to be performed through a small incision, preserving muscles and ligaments. This significantly reduces blood loss, reduces the risk of complications and allows the patient to activate the next day. For example, as part of the master class, we performed intervertebral disc replacement operations in patients with lumbar instability at L4-L5 levels. The installed implants not only stabilize the spine, but also provide a physiologically correct position. Such methods help patients to return to their usual life faster," Talgat Kerimbayev noted. In addition, three operations were performed to remove spinal cord tumors using an operating microscope and special equipment. The Central City Clinical Hospital of Almaty continues to develop high-tech medical care, making it accessible to residents of Almaty and other regions of Kazakhstan.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/dsm/press/news/details/890786
