Along with this, there will be a subzone of the Saryarka special economic zone on the territory of the airport," Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said.A roadmap has been developed aimed at increasing the volume of cargo transportation at Sary-Arka airport. This will be achieved through the creation of new enterprises on the territory of the air hub, which will receive tax and other preferences within the subzone of the Special Economic Zone. It is expected that the volume of cargo handled will grow from 15 to 200 thousand tons per year. Thanks to this, by 2030 it is planned to create about 2 thousand new jobs and increase tax revenues to the budget.Today, the airport serves commercial cargo flights from Ecuador, the Netherlands, Belgium and Southeast Asia. In the future, an increase in technical landings of aircraft on the China – Europe –China route is expected.
