Future doctors in Karaganda are learning to save lives with the help of smart robot patients 09.02.2025
Students and interns of Karaganda Medical University, as well as experienced doctors of the region, will now have the opportunity to improve their professional skills in new high-tech simulators. Robots that allow you to imagine real situations have arrived at the university's simulation center.
Among them are "Little Pavlik" - a dummy for a premature baby weighing up to 500 grams, "Ares" and "Aria" - larger "children", and the "Lucina" birthing dummy with VR functionality for full monitoring of the birth process.
So far, no medical institution in Kazakhstan has such equipment.
– Now students can see the baby's movements in the mother's womb and understand all the stages of childbirth. This is invaluable experience that will help them in real life, - says Zhanna Amirbekova, head of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of KSU.
The new equipment covers emergency care, anesthesiology-resuscitation and neonatology. And to learn how to work with these robots, a master class on simulation technologies in the fields of obstetrics, neonatology and resuscitation was held at the university. It was conducted by anesthesiologist-resuscitator Anatoly Verevkin from Russia.
- Real simulators allow specialists to constantly work out complex clinical scenarios. This will significantly increase the quality of medical care and the confidence of doctors in real practice, he noted.
The main goal of these technologies is to reduce maternal and child mortality. Doctors and students can work out complex situations in advance and be confident in their actions in emergency situations.
Karaganda Medical University has developed special programs for advanced training in this equipment.
– Every patient wants to be treated by an experienced specialist. But experience is accumulated over time, - says Andrey Buynenko, freelance chief obstetrician-gynecologist of the Health Department. – Doctors do not always face difficult situations at work, and regular training with simulators allows them to maintain and improve important manual skills.

Almaty to modernize 10 markets in 2025 09.02.2025
This year, the modernization will affect 10 shopping facilities in the southern capital, which is part of the roadmap for the modernization of markets throughout the country.Last week, Aidar Abildabekov, Chairman of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited four markets in Almaty and assessed their readiness for the changes in the upcom. According to the Ministry's Roadmap, renovation work will be carried out at the markets "Arlan", "Batyr", "Tulpar", "Arystan", "Zhibek Zholy", "Aziya", "Tau Samal", "Bereke", "Saud Kent" and "Saryarka". The owners must complete the work by December 2025."Modernization of markets is not only about improving business conditions, but also creating favorable conditions for buyers. However, the process of approving construction documents in akimats is often delayed. Market directorates noted that this process takes a long time, and in practice, entrepreneurs have to wait a long time to receive permits from local authorities. We call on akimats to urgently provide assistance to entrepreneurs so that the work is completed on time," said Aidar Abildabekov.Today, 38 markets operate in Almaty, of which 4 are specialized and 34 are universal. According to trade legislation, all markets must meet modern standards: ensure the availability of parking spaces, comply with sanitary and fire safety standards, and support the possibility of online payments. It should be noted that from 2026, market owners who have not completed the modernization will face administrative liability.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mti/press/news/details/930484
