By the end of 2024, the socio-economic development of the Mangystau region was stable, and the main macro indicators show positive results.The main directions of the region's development are the processing industry, tourism, transport and logistics, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the agro-industrial complex. Over the past five years, 4 trillion tenge has been invested in the region. Since the beginning of December this year, more than 250 agricultural fairs have been held in the regions of Kazakhstan, which were attended by about a million citizens.These data were announced at a meeting on price stabilization for basic foodstuffs chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin. As noted by First Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Aizhan Bizhanova, fairs have shown high demand among the population, imported volumes of products are almost completely sold out."Most potatoes were sold in the Karaganda region – 110 tons, in Almaty – 90 tons, 45 tons of potatoes were sold in Shymkent over the holiday weekend," the first Vice Minister noted. In parallel with the fairs, regional markets receive vegetables from stabilization funds. As announced by Vice Minister of Agriculture Yermek Kenzhekhanuly, as of December 19, 9.2 thousand tons of potatoes, 2.6 thousand tons of carrots, 2.8 thousand tons of onions and 2.1 thousand tons of cabbage were sold from the stabilization funds. The meeting also presented a timetable for the distribution of vegetables until May of this year, taking into account the needs of each region. The 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Accreditation Bodies of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union was held this year under the chairmanship of the Accreditation Body of the Republic of Armenia via videoconference. The National Accreditation Center was represented by Director General Iskander Khamitov.The participants considered four issues, including the implementation of the Procedure for mutual comparative assessments by the accreditation bodies of the EAEU member States; the implementation of the Work Plan of the Council of Heads in 2024 and proposals for the formation of a Work Plan for 2025; the chairmanship of the Council in 2025 and others.During the discussion of the agenda, in particular, information from the Kyrgyz Accreditation Center on the implementation of recommendations formed based on the results of a mutual comparative assessment of the CCA by the accreditation authorities of the EAEU member States in 2024 was taken into account.Currently, the participants have started forming a group for mutual comparative assessment of the accreditation body of the Republic of Armenia.
