In order to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals to combat climate change, as well as support the initiative of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to reduce the impact of Aviation on the global climate, the aviation authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted a national plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) in the aviation sector.The national plan aims to significantly reduce the impact of Aviation on the surrounding cake, taking into account the growing challenges associated with climate change and sustainable development.The plan provides for the introduction of a number of initiatives, including measures to improve the infrastructure of airports using energy-efficient technologies, the development of coordinated measures for the transition of industry entities to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), legislative amendments to support the ICAO carbon emission assessment.
