At an extended meeting of the Akimat of Kostanay region, chaired by the regional akim Kumar Aksakalov, the key tasks of the agro-industrial complex were considered in light of the instructions of the Head of State.The President of the country outlined specific goals for the agricultural sector: to double the volume of agricultural production, triple labor productivity and enter the top ten world leaders in deep grain processing. Soil fertility is not a right, but an obligation of every farmer, - the regional akim emphasized.Specific tasks have been set for the timely purchase and application of fertilizers, providing farmers with subsidized diesel fuel, as well as upgrading agricultural machinery. According to the results of last year, the level of equipment renewal in the region was 6.1%. This year, it is planned to increase this figure.Investments in the agricultural economyIn order to develop the agricultural economy in the region, 36 investment projects worth 52.5 billion tenge are being implemented. Thanks to this, more than 600 new jobs are being created.A special place among them is occupied by the construction of six dairy farms - part of a large-scale program that provides for the launch of 30 dairy farms by 2028. Kazakhstan will present the third Voluntary National Review on Sustainable Development Goals at the UN Forum in New York 09.05.2025
In July 2025, Kazakhstan, among 39 countries, will present the third Voluntary National Review at the High-level political forum on Sustainable Development, which will be held at the UN Headquarters in New York. The Forum is one of the main international platforms where countries share their experiences and progress in implementing the UN 2030 Agenda.The review is being conducted by the Ministry of National Economy in cooperation with government agencies, civil society, business and international partners. The process is coordinated by the Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development Goals, which has approved the training plan.The draft review has already been discussed at regional seminars held with the support of UNDP and the Institute of Economic Research. Representatives of all key groups, including young people, participated in the dialogue.At the same time, the country continues to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into the state planning system. In October 2024, an updated list of national indicators was approved: 69 out of 200 indicators were identified as priorities. As of today, 93% of them have already been taken into account in the documents of the state planning system, and at the regional level they are fully included in the regional development plans.Thus, Kazakhstan is consistently moving towards achieving sustainable and inclusive growth, improving the quality of public administration and strengthening its position in the international arena.This is the third review that Kazakhstan will present at the UN. Previously, similar reports were successfully presented in 2019 and 2022 and were highly appreciated by international partners. 7 мая 2025 года в 11:00 в Астане состоится масштабный военный парад, посвящённый Дню защитника Отечества и 80-летию Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. Одними из главных зрителей торжественного мероприятия станут участники Великой Отечественной войны, труженики тыла, а также ветераны и военнослужащие Вооруженных сил, других войск и воинских формирований Республики Казахстан.Парад объединит лучшие подразделения Вооруженных сил, роты почётного караула, представителей военных правоохранительных органов, других войск и воинских формирований. The volume of chemical industry output in the Atyrau region reached 47.7 billion tenge in three months — an increase of 17.7% 08.05.2025
On May 5, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, at which the development of the chemical and petrochemical industries was considered. During the meeting, Akim of the Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov presented information on key projects and achievements of the region in this area.According to the head of the region, four major projects are being implemented in the special economic zone of the region:• The KPI plant produced 97.8 thousand tons of polypropylene in three months. By the end of 2025, it is expected to reach full capacity — 500 thousand tons. In 2024, the plant produced 249 thousand tons of products.• The Silleno polyethylene plant — construction work has already begun. The cost of the project is 3.6 trillion tenge, the capacity is 1.25 million tons of polyethylene, the opening is scheduled for 2029, it will create 800 jobs.• The plant for the production of butadiene and its derivatives is a joint project with Tatneft. Construction is planned to begin in the second half of 2025. The cost of the project is 408.4 billion tenge, the capacity is 388 thousand tons, the launch is in 2027, 800 jobs.• The plant for the production of terephthalic acid and polyethylene terephthalate — a strategic partner is being sought. The cost is 720 billion tenge, the capacity is 620 thousand tons, the launch is in 2028, it will also create 800 jobs. The volume of chemical industry output in the region for the first three months of the current year amounted to 47.7 billion tenge, which is 17.7% more than the same period last year (5.9 billion tenge).A number of production facilities have also been launched, creating over 400 jobs based on polypropylene processing:• extrusion geosynthetic films (Intago LLP);• medical syringes (MedStarExport LLP);• household utensils (Turan Plast West LLP);• polypropylene and polyethylene bags (Kazchem LLP, Grand Materik LLP).In addition, projects are being implemented to create about 500 jobs for the production of:• stretch hood film, staple fiber, geotextiles, geomembranes, geogrids, plastic pallets and canisters.Serik Shapkenov noted that the region annually hosts a forum of petrochemical producers, which helps establish new partnerships and expand sales markets.To support domestic polypropylene processing, the Forsazh program has been introduced, which allows entrepreneurs to purchase raw materials at reduced prices. Under this program, agreements have been concluded between KPI and 114 enterprises from 15 regions of the country. Among the projects being implemented are the production of carpets (Shymkent), protective helmets (Kyzylorda region), industrial filters (Kostanay region), and big bags (Akmola region).The Akim also reported that the issue of creating a separate industrial zone in the Atyrau region is being worked out together with the Ministry of Trade and Integration. A 200-hectare plot has already been allocated for the Chinese investor Eurasia Construction Capital. What a little boy didn't have to see in four terrible years!– I still sometimes dream about the sound of a bomb exploding. He's so shrill that you want to hide somewhere, bury yourself in the ground," recalls the home front worker. – And when the victory was announced, my mother cried: not all of our family returned from the front.Congratulations to the veterans continued with a concert program. In 2025-2027, the Diploma to the Countryside program will continue to be actively implemented in Kazakhstan, playing a key role in providing rural areas with qualified personnel.As part of the implementation of the Roadmap of the election program of the AMANAT party — «Halykpen Birge!» for 2023-2027, 25 billion tenge is provided for the provision of budget loans to specialists sent to rural areas in 2025. This will provide housing for about 2,8 thousand specialists.The state project «With a diploma to the village» has been implemented since 2009 and is aimed at solving the problem of personnel shortage in rural regions of the country. The main goal is to attract and consolidate qualified specialists in the fields of healthcare, education, social protection, culture, sports, the agro—industrial complex, as well as in local government bodies.Project participants are provided with social support measures:one-time lifting allowance of 100 MCI;budget loans for the purchase or construction of housing — up to 2 500 MCI in district centers and up to 2 000 MCI in other rural settlements.Loans are granted for a period of up to 15 years. A prerequisite for participation is to work in rural areas for at least three years.Since April 1, 2023, JSC «Otbasy Bank» has been acting as the project implementation agent.
