An expanded meeting of the Government was held under the chairmanship of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During the meeting, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reported to the Head of State on the main results of the Government's work in 2024.The Prime Minister informed the President about the growth rate of the Kazakh economy. Last year, this indicator amounted to 4.8%. High momentum was achieved in agriculture - 13.7%, in construction - 13.1%, in trade - 9.1%, in transport - 8.5%. The volume of the manufacturing industry increased by 5.9%. At the same time, the most rapid growth in the last 10 years was recorded in the agricultural sector and the manufacturing sector. In addition, oil production decreased by 2.4 million tons, which had a negative impact on the growth rate of GDP. This was largely due to the country's commitments within OPEC+ and major overhauls at large fields.Behind the statistical indicators of economic growth by sector, there are real results. For example, 29 large factories have been built in Kazakhstan, including cast iron in the Kostanay region; tungsten and thermal insulation materials in the Almaty region, precious metals processing in Shymkent; cathode copper, automobile tires and household appliances in the Karaganda region, and other enterprises. The launch of modern production in the city of Saran allowed it to move out of the category of mono-cities.Agricultural producers harvested more than 26 million tons of grain and more than 3 million tons of oilseeds in 2024. 4 million tons of grain were exported. Farmers were fully provided with irrigation water. At the same time, 2 billion 600 million m3 of water was released into the Aral Sea, which is significantly higher than in previous years. The modernization of 80 water channels with a total length of more than 400 kilometers has been completed. The area of crops covered by water-saving technologies has increased by 1.5 times and amounted to 470 thousand hectares. There are also tangible results in the construction sector. In particular, for the first time in the country, 19 million square meters of housing were built. 397 healthcare facilities and 298 educational facilities were built. 40 student dormitories for 11 thousand places were put into operation. 12 thousand kilometers of highways and 2.8 thousand kilometers of railways were repaired. 3 new terminals were put into operation at the airports of Almaty, Kyzylorda and Shymkent. In general, last year the volume of cargo transportation increased by 10% and reached about 1 billion tons.Special attention was paid to the housing and communal services sector. Last year, more than 300 thousand additional people were provided with gas, and more than 200 thousand people were connected to the central water system. 542 kilometers of heating networks and 55 heat sources were modernized, and 6.5 thousand kilometers of engineering networks were repaired. Additional sources of electricity generation with a total capacity of more than 700 MW were put into operation. The Investment Headquarters quickly resolved pending issues on 115 projects worth a total of $50 billion. Despite bureaucratic problems, decisions are being made that will allow the timely launch of projects necessary for our country. The Investment Headquarters is developing legislative amendments based on specific cases to improve the business climate. Currently, work is underway on 97 amendments. In general, according to the results of last year by region, the highest economic growth was recorded in North Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Turkestan, Kyzylorda regions and the cities of Astana and Shymkent. Low dynamics of key indicators was formed in Ulytau, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl regions.“The government continues to implement the strategic objectives set out in the pre-election platform, addresses and other program documents of the Head of State. Ensuring high-quality economic growth and improving the well-being of our citizens remain our priorities,” Olzhas Bektenov noted.primeminister.kz Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/karaganda/press/news/details/925927
In adverse weather conditions, the speed on the Karaganda-Astana highway will be reduced to 60 kilometers per hour 01.02.2025
On the Karaganda-Astana highway, as on other republican expressways, road signs will be installed that change the permitted speed in adverse weather conditions. According to the new rules, in case of poor visibility or icy conditions, drivers are required to reduce the speed to 60 kilometers per hour. This measure is aimed at reducing the risk of road accidents and preventing emergency situations.- A special speed regime will be introduced on roads of republican significance in adverse weather conditions, - noted the deputy head of the administrative police department, Lieutenant Colonel Elzhas Zhartybayev. - The speed regime and average speed will be combined with surveillance cameras to record speed limit violations.Under normal conditions, the maximum speed on the highway in good weather conditions remains the same - 140 km/h.As for the average speed, the police department explained that it is calculated by dividing the distance traveled by the time interval. On straight sections of the road, the increase in this indicator will be recorded by automatic registration systems. They are currently installed on 13 highways of the republic in a test mode. Fines for violation of the rules range from 5 to 40 MCI.So far, such violations have not been registered in the region, because the necessary equipment has not yet been installed. What else you need to know about the changes in the legislation was reported at a briefing held at the Regional Communications Service. The classification of administrative responsibility for amateurs has changed.- Article 592 of the Road Traffic Code has been supplemented with paragraphs 3-1 and 5, - Elzhas Zhartybayev clarified. - If earlier the maximum speed limit was 40 km/h and above, and there was only one fine for it, now a driver who increased the speed in the range of 40–60 km/h will pay 20 MCI (78,640 tenge). And for exceeding 60 kilometers per hour, the law provides for a fine of 40 MCI (157,280 tenge). If this amount is exceeded again, the fine will increase to 60 MCI (235,920 tenge). This innovation was introduced taking into account the analysis of road accidents, where every third person dies due to speeding on suburban roads.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/karaganda/press/news/details/926028
Work continues to save fish in winter in Karaganda region 01.02.2025
In the Saran reservoir in the Abay district, measures were taken to prevent fish mortality: holes were drilled, reed mats were laid, and water was aerated using pumps to provide oxygen to the reservoir. More than 20 people participated in the work, as well as five units of equipment. In winter, insufficient oxygen and light enter the water from a thick layer of ice and snow, so the risk of fish mortality is high. To prevent this, specialists from the Nura-Sarysu Interregional Basin Fisheries Inspectorate, together with the Karaganda region's Department of Natural Resources and Nature Management, are constantly carrying out fish rescue operations.Measures to prevent fish mortality will continue in other reservoirs of the region until the end of March. There are a total of 179 local and two republican reservoirs in the Karaganda region. Of these, 104 reservoirs are assigned to nature users, who independently carry out preventive work. The remaining 75 reservoirs are included in the reserve fund, which is supervised by department specialists and fishery inspectors.According to information from the Nura-Sarysu Interregional Basin Fisheries Inspectorate Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/karaganda/press/news/details/926104

From the expanded session of the Government chaired by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev 01.02.2025
President:"Although the situation abroad is difficult, there are good results in our country. The country's economy is growing. But there are still many unresolved problems. The main problem today is the following. Tariff disputes and sanctions confrontations in the world economy have become the norm. The consequences of this process can be devastating.Climate-related positions are also undergoing major changes. In such a situation, it will be necessary to reconsider the methods of developing "green energy". On the one hand, the demand for traditional energy sources will remain. On the other hand, this will lead to instability in the prices of oil, gas and coal.Cryptocurrencies and other digital assets have become widely used in the financial sector. The development of artificial intelligence has come to the fore, and in connection with this, competition between technologically advanced giants will intensify. There are many challenges of the new era. We need an appropriate strategy to overcome them" Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/mangystau/press/news/details/925954
