They are based on the study of DNA sequences, which allows predicting the breeding value of animals at an early age, while traditional methods can take several years.The center conducts 400 thousand DNA studies per year and is among the top 10 genetic veterinary laboratories in the world in terms of productivity.Work is underway to create a domestic genomic index of breeding value for the Aberdeen-Angus breed and popular dairy breeds of cattle, reduce production costs while improving the quality of meat and milk.
