Nysanbayev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Khairullo Ibodzoda.During the meeting, topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of ecology, environmental protection, biodiversity and climate change were discussed.The Minister noted the existing fruitful cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in the field of ecology and hydrometeorology, including within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, signed in May 2023.The Minister also noted the importance of the climate agenda, especially in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Glacier Conservation.The Kazakh side expressed its readiness to continue interaction on the exchange of experience in the field of ecology, biodiversity protection, and climate change. In addition, an agreement was reached on active cooperation in the preparation for the holding of the regional Climate Summit in Kazakhstan in 2026.
