Capital volunteers hold a fundraising campaign for the Veterans' Yard 13.01.2025
Due to heavy snowfall in Astana, snow removal work is being carried out in shifts around the clock. In particular, young people are actively helping veterans and needy citizens from socially vulnerable categories of the population, participating in clearing their yards, the official website of the city administration reports.
The event was organized by the "Astana Youth" youth resource center.
About 10 volunteers from the capital helped veterans living alone clean their homes and yards, and clear their yards of snow.
“Today, we, the volunteers of "Astana Youth", gathered for another "Marathon of Good Deeds" to clear the yard of a lonely pensioner. It is worth noting that we have been helping to clear the yard of an elderly citizen from the capital for two years. "It is important for our seniors to clear their yards so that they can walk freely and enjoy the fresh air," says active volunteer David Sharipov.
Clearing their yards from snow is not an easy task for seniors, so they are always grateful for such help.
"This year, we are timed the campaign to clear the yards of seniors in the capital to the 80th anniversary of Victory. That is why this year we paid more attention to veterans and seniors, not only helping them clear their yards, but also bringing them small gifts, chatting, and receiving their feedback. "We would like to note that this campaign will continue," says Dana Takenova, a specialist in the volunteer movement development department of "Astana Zhastary."

Deputy Akim of the city Beibut Shakhanov, who oversees this area, told how snow removal is carried out in Almaty. 13.01.2025
Snowfall hit the metropolis on the night of January 7-8 and continued until noon. The height of the snow cover as of 12:00 reached 15 cm, in the mountainous area - 20-30 cm.According to Deputy Akim of Almaty Beibut Shakhanov, municipal services of the city promptly started clearing streets, roads and sidewalks, snow removal work is carried out around the clock.:- From 00:00 on January 8 to 11:00, about 15 centimeters of snow fell in the city. From 1:00 a.m., the road was sprinkled with anti-icing agents. At 4:30 a.m., we started shoveling snow from the roads to the roadsides. After that, work is underway to form shafts and load snow onto dump trucks, then export it to the appropriate landfills. This work is carried out as a priority on the central and main streets, since more citizens drive along these roads. Then we'll move on to district-level roads, and we'll try to do it as quickly as possible.According to generally accepted standards, main streets are cleaned for up to 3 days, and district streets for up to 7 days. As a rule, we try to do this earlier.During the day, we employ about 500 units of snow removal equipment and more than 1,100 road workers. At night, about the same number of vehicles and people go out, but we try to mostly work at night in the absence of traffic. The city is actively updating road snow removal equipment. Over the past 2 years, we have purchased about 140 units of new modern equipment. This work will continue this year. We will buy more modern equipment that improves the speed of work and effectively replaces manual labor. Due to this, we will improve the quality of harvesting work.Last year, the city adopted landscaping rules, according to which landscaping passports were introduced. According to them, trade facilities and institutions are required to ensure cleanliness around their points. And this also applies to snow removal, so we urge trade facilities to actively participate in the cleaning of the city.Given the need for a certain amount of time for snow removal, we ask our citizens to understand the temporary inconveniences, as well as to provide assistance and not park cars at the roadsides until we have cleared the snow.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/914866

IPB representatives met in one place and answered questions from depositors 13.01.2025
Pension savings of Kazakhstanis are invested both in the country and abroad on market terms in various financial instruments in different currencies. As a result, investment income consists of various sources: income in the form of remuneration on securities (deposits and other transactions), income in the form of market and currency revaluation of financial instruments, as well as income on assets under external management. This is a widespread global practice. Pension funds around the world are constantly looking for attractive and profitable opportunities to invest and increase the pension capital of contributors. Currently, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NBRK) is engaged in investing pension assets, and since 2021, investment portfolio managers (IPMs).As part of the information and explanatory work among the population, an Open Day on the topic of "Investment strategies of investment portfolio managers (IPM). Consideration of current issues of contributors." was held online in all branches of UAPF JSC.This event was unique. For the first time, representatives of investment management companies, having met on one online platform, had the opportunity to tell everyone interested about their investment policy, share the results of their work and answer current questions from contributors. Participants in the event organized by the UAPF were also able to learn first-hand how to choose the right IPM, what you first need to pay attention to when deciding to transfer your money, risks, rules and algorithms for transferring pension savings. Event materials can be found on the UAPF website https://www.enpf.kz/ru/about/press-center/projects/openday2024.phpLet us recall that since January 2021, UAPF contributors have been able to transfer their pension savings to private investment companies - IPMs. Initially, it was possible to transfer only savings that exceeded the minimum sufficiency threshold or remained in the pension account after concluding a pension annuity agreement with an insurance company. However, since July 1, 2023, investment opportunities have expanded - UAPF contributors can transfer up to 50% of their savings through compulsory and compulsory occupational pension contributions, as well as 100% of voluntary contributions to trust management of private companies. Today, there are 5 of them. Each contributor can find a full list of IPMs and reviews of their activities on the UAPF website.Having decided to transfer savings to one or more IPMs, the contributor must contact UAPF with an application, which can be submitted through a personal account on the website or in person at any branch of the Fund. All the necessary information is posted on the website www.enpf.kz in the services section - Transfer of part of pension savings to trust management, as well as in the video instructions on the Youtube channel БЖЗҚ/ЕНПФ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBVC_LdZhssUAPF continues to keep track of pension savings even after they have been transferred to a private manager. Each contributor can see information on how much the IPM has earned them in their individual pension account statement. However, it is recommended to evaluate the results of investment activities in the long term. The Social Code stipulates that savings can be transferred from one IPM to another or back to the NBRK management no more than once a year.An important point to remember when transferring pension savings to IPM: the state guarantee for the safety of pension savings is provided only for savings managed by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. When transferring pension savings under IPM management, the state guarantee is replaced by a guarantee from the management company. It must ensure a return of at least the minimum level of return on assets. This level is calculated based on the weighted average return on pension assets transferred for management to all IPMs operating in the pension asset management market. We remind you that contributors can always receive advice on pension system issues both at UAPF branches and online: on the enpf.kz website, in messengers and social networks, as well as at the Open Day events. UAPF was founded on August 22, 2013 on the basis of GNPF APF JSC. The founder and shareholder of the UAPF is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Institution Committee of State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Trust management of UAPF pension assets is carried out by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts compulsory pension contributions, employer’s compulsory pension contributions, compulsory occupational pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, as well as carries out enrollment and accounting of voluntary pension contributions formed at the expense of the unclaimed amount of guaranteed compensation for the guaranteed deposit, transferred by the organization carrying out mandatory guarantee of deposits, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On mandatory guarantee of deposits placed in second-tier banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan", ensures the implementation of pension benefits. The Fund also carries out accounting of target assets and target requirements, accounting and crediting of target savings (TS) to target savings accounts, payments of TS to their recipients in bank accounts, accounting for returns of TS in the manner determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the National Fund for Children program (More details at www.enpf.kz)Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/abay/press/news/details/914276

Crop data is not supported by facts of manipulation 12.01.2025
Statements about the discrepancy between the data of the USDA and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan on grain yields in Kazakhstan by 8 million tons are untrue. Thus, 18 million tons collected by Kazakhstan according to the data of the division of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) are wheat crop data, and 26.7 million tons according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan are grain and leguminous crops (barley, oats, peas, lentils, etc.), including wheat. It should be noted that in all official reports, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has consistently disclosed data that the total harvest of 2024 includes cereals and legumes, for which joint mention in agricultural statistics is an abnormal practice. According to the operational data of the akimats of the regions, grain and leguminous crops were harvested from an area of 16.7 million hectares with an average yield of 16.1 c/ha, 26.7 million tons in initial weight were harvested. At the same time, according to the statistical form "On the harvest of agricultural crops", data are submitted by agricultural producers once a year at their location to the statistical authorities. The final data will be published on the website of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan in early February. At the same time, the data in the initial weight may differ from the final data on average, taking into account refactoring. The arguments for the thesis of overestimated data on the 2024 harvest include a decrease in yields due to floods, although small areas of agricultural land fell into the flood zone, the commission confirmed the damage from flooding by 3.8 thousand hectares. In addition, most soils quickly absorb moisture, and its sufficient volume contributes to a high yield. Other arguments, such as the lack of fertilizers and agricultural machinery, are also untenable. Thanks to the government support, there is a positive trend in the application of mineral fertilizers. Thus, over 5 years, the volume of fertilizers increased 2.2 times from 600 thousand tons in 2020 to 1.2 million tons in 2024 (the volume of subsidies during this period increased 1.7 times from 27.3 to 46.4 billion tenge). The same applies to the rate of equipment renewal: by the end of 2024, the industry reached 5.5% of the fleet renewal rate, which is 1 percentage point higher than a year earlier. In 2024, a large–scale program of preferential leasing of agricultural machinery of domestic production in the amount of 120 billion tenge was launched with a remuneration rate of 5% per annum and for a period of 7 years. In 2024, farmers purchased 22,000 units of machinery, which is 12% higher than in 2023. The necessary measures were also taken to combat diseases – working capital was provided at 5%, including for the purchase of plant protection products, and subsidies for pesticides amounted to 35.9 billion tenge. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan strives for transparent and objective statistics in the industry, to this end, in 2024, together with the BTS, a lot of work was done to reduce attributions, and the Ministry is constantly taking the initiative to move away from the industry's GDP indicators in assessing the quality of M&E work. We kindly ask you to trust the official materials and carefully consider the choice of information sources and authors.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/moa/press/news/details/916349
