To practice Nordic walking in Astana, pensioners of the Active Longevity Center of Yesilsky and Nurinsky districts gather daily in the Botanical Garden and take walks in the fresh air. Scandinavian walking master classes are conducted by veteran athlete Tuganai Beisembayeva, who has worked in the field of sports for more than 45 years, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.Today, 152 pensioners are taking part in the training sessions of a qualified specialist, among whom the oldest is 86–year-old Sabyrzhan ata."We practice in the Nordic walking section, divided into 4 groups. A project is being implemented in the capital, in which school students can get a working profession along with a certificate. Now it operates in three state colleges of Astana, the official website of the city akimat reports.The project provides an opportunity for students to receive technical and vocational education and relevant diplomas in working professions.Among the educational institutions participating in the project is the Vocational Technical College of the Akimat of Astana. 34 schoolchildren from 10 schools of the capital are already studying here under the new program.The participants were 10th grade students. In the morning, they attend classes at their schools, and after lunch they go to college, where they can master one of three areas: Catering, Maintenance, repair and operation of cars, Sewing and clothing modeling.The entire process of learning working professions takes place from the beginning of the 10th grade to the middle of the 11th. At the end, students take state exams, which result in a diploma of technical and vocational education. Unlike regular college tuition, the program runs twice as fast. However, we fully study the entire process of car repair and operation, and by the time we graduate from school, we are already qualified specialists, ready for employment at the age of 18.
