Kazakhstan Strengthens the International Security Architecture: UN General Assembly Approves Three Resolutions Proposed by Kazakhstan 04.12.2024
New York, December 2, 2024 – The United Nations General Assembly approved three resolutions initiated by Kazakhstan, aimed at strengthening global security, disarmament, and the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.Kazakhstan, recognizing the UN as an irreplaceable and universal international organization, and adhering to a principled position on the issue of banning all types of weapons of mass destruction, reaffirmed its commitment to multilateralism and close cooperation with UN institutions. For the first time, three resolutions submitted by Kazakhstan to the UN First Committee were simultaneously brought to the General Assembly for consideration and were supported by the UN member states.The UN General Assembly unanimously adopted the resolution on “Strengthening and Institutionalizing the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on Their Destruction”. The resolution calls for a substantive consideration of the possibility of establishing the International Agency for Biological Security, in continuation of the initiative proposed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. Fifteen countries, including all Central Asian states, supported the document as co-sponsors.The resolution, “Addressing the Legacy of Nuclear Weapons: Providing Victim Assistance and Environmental Remediation to Member States Affected by the Use or Testing of Nuclear Weapons”, initiated by Kazakhstan and Kiribati, has sent an important signal to the global community about the need to consolidate efforts in providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by the use or testing of nuclear weapons. Депутаты Мажилиса Парламента РК, рассмотрев на заседании палаты во втором чтении, приняли проект Бюджетного кодекса.Новый экономический курс, обозначенный в Послании Главой государства, мировые политические вызовы и неопределенность геополитической конъюнктуры требовали изменений в бюджетной политике страны, позволяющих обеспечить финансовую устойчивость нашего государства, его стабильность и достижение долгосрочных целей развития.В новом Бюджетном кодексе нашли отражение подходы, призванные установить основные инструменты управления государственными финансами, повысить их результативность для обеспечения социально-экономического развития страны.В проекте Бюджетного кодекса предусмотрены:консолидированый учет государственных финансов. Предмет регулирования Бюджетного кодекса расширяется и будет охватывать помимо собственно бюджета все виды внебюджетных активов и обязательств государcтва;оптимизация бюджетного процесса за счет исключения излишних этапов и забюрократизированных процедур с сокращением их сроков вдвое;смещение фокуса госорганов, с учетом оптимизированного бюджетного процесса, к более глубокая аналитическая работа при планировании бюджета;обеспечение сбалансированности и упорядоченности доходов и расходов между уровнями бюджетов, повышение качества планирования трансфертов общего характера, выделяемых из республиканского бюджета в регионы через систему региональных стандартов;расширение подотчетности, ответственности участников бюджетного процесса и прозрачности самого бюджетного процесса.Бюджетный кодекс в новой редакции позволит создать условия, направленные на обеспечение устойчивого развития страны, и положительно скажется на реализации государственной экономической политики и задач социально-экономического развития.Принятый Мажилисом проект Бюджетного кодекса направлен в Сенат для рассмотрения и согласования.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/economy/press/news/details/895954

The event was attended by representatives of the media, who were able to get acquainted with the life and everyday life of military personnel, get acquainted with the infrastructure of the military camp and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of army service.As part of the press tour, the guests visited the barracks and the soldiers' canteen, where they appreciated the quality of army food. Each participant was able to make sure that the diet of law enforcement troops is balanced and meets all necessary requirements.At the exhibition of military equipment and weapons, samples of modern weapons, communications equipment and equipment in service with the National Guard were presented. Of particular interest was the demonstration of the actions of the special forces soldiers, who demonstrated a high level of training in the shooting range of the military unit.The special attention of the participants was attracted by the program at the cynological center. A demonstration of the actions of service dogs took place here, during which the detention of conditional armed criminals and the search for narcotic and explosive substances were shown. The high professionalism of the dog handlers and their four-legged companions aroused admiration and stormy applause from the guests.The journalists also took part in a competition to disassemble and assemble a Makarov pistol and a Kalashnikov assault rifle. This competition aroused great interest among the participants and became a kind of test of dexterity and attentiveness for media representatives. A plant for the production of 80 thousand tons of cotton fiber per year was launched in the Turkestan region 04.12.2024
As part of the development of the cotton cluster in the Maktaaral district of Turkestan region, 8 large projects worth 70 billion tenge will be implemented in the period from 2024 to 2030.The ZHANASSYL LLP plant with a capacity of 80 thousand tons of cotton fiber per year was commissioned on December 3.The company has 13 cotton receiving points in Maktaaralsky and Zhetysaysky districts. Since the beginning of the harvesting campaign, more than 41 thousand tons of cotton have been accepted.The plant processes 600 tons of raw cotton per day and produces 180 tons of high-quality cotton fiber, cotton lint and other products.The products will be exported to China, Turkey, Europe, Tajikistan, Iran and Kyrgyzstan.In addition, as part of the project, the company is building production facilities for drip irrigation tape and cotton seed processing.
