To work out the issue of establishing an Institute of Horse Breeding in Kazakhstan as soon as possible - this task was set by the Head of State in his speech at the first forum of agricultural workers, held on November 15 in Astana. In accordance with the instructions of the President of the country, the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Horse Breeding and Feed Production LLP was established in Aktobe on the basis of the Aktobe Agricultural Experimental Station, the founder of which is the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Center. The main tasks of the new institute are to conduct research aimed at improving the breeding qualities of horses, actively developing horse breeding and promoting domestic breeds to foreign markets. Today, the institute sets itself an ambitious task — to increase the number of breeding horses by 6-7% over the next five years.The expansion of breeding areas of local horse breeds, such as Kostanay and Adai, as well as highly productive Mugalzhar and Kushum genotypes and Kazakh horses of the toad type of meat and dairy direction is becoming an important task for breeding work. To do this, it is planned to create an information database that will store information about various genetic groups of horses, a seed and embryo bank, and build an immune genetics laboratory with an artificial insemination point for mares. Work will also be carried out on the training of horse breeders. The establishment of a specialized veterinary clinic for horses will significantly increase the level of veterinary care and will contribute to improving the health and well-being of horses.The priority areas of scientific research until 2035 in productive horse breeding will be to increase the genetic potential of horses in the domestic population by breeding, technological methods and widespread introduction into commodity farms in different regions of Kazakhstan. Oshurbayev emphasized the importance of preserving the Caspian Sea and studying the drop in water levels in order to develop effective measures to prevent further drop in water levels.In order to study this issue, the Kazakh side proposed to strengthen cooperation between the Caspian littoral countries in the field of systematic monitoring and research of sea level, conduct joint scientific research to predict changes and develop effective adaptation measures, as well as develop a comprehensive strategy to reduce the negative impact of climate change on the marine environment and coastal zones of the Caspian Sea.The participants of the event also supported the initiative of the Azerbaijani side to create an expert group to identify the causes of the decline in the Caspian Sea level.As a result of the side event, a Declaration was adopted on strengthening cooperation in the fight against the decline of the Caspian Sea level.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/ecogeo/press/news/details/885578
