Starting in 2025, bicycle rental services in Almaty will be updated and equipped with modern technologies 04.01.2025
Since 2016, a bicycle infrastructure development program has been implemented in the metropolis. In the same year, 270 bicycles and 50 stations were put into operation in a pilot mode. And in 2017, another 1,460 bicycles and 150 stations were added.Previously, this project was "Velocity.kz "in 2020, this right was transferred to the Arman Aimak Public Foundation. From 2018 to 2020, the project was implemented with the financing of the Almaty City Sports Department. Subsequently, the bicycle rental project was transferred to the consideration of the city mobility Department. In 2025, the Almaty Akimat plans to restart the bicycle rental project. This work is carried out by the municipal state enterprise "Almaty Parking". This institution is also engaged in a parking program in the metropolis.According to the director of the organization, Vladimir Ni, the mayor's office focuses on making bike rental as comfortable as possible."Studying the city's features, we have taken into account past mistakes. Cycling has not been updated since 2016. But now times have changed. Previously, there were only mechanical bicycles, but now they are equipped with electric motors," said Vladimir Ni.The project examined the experience of European countries, Russia, Japan, Korea and China."Although European bicycles are of good quality, their spare parts are very expensive, many of them are made in China. Modern exercise bikes are equipped with vandal-proof protection, which increases their service life. Their frames are sturdy, and the brakes and plastic batteries are highly durable. This will allow cycling bikes to be used in various climatic conditions," the specialist noted.Project manager Samat Agabek noted that two different Bikes are currently being tested. One of them is designed for an Asian build, and the other is for a European build."For six months we have been testing the bikes and putting them into operation for the townspeople. We took them to the service centers for technical inspection and assessed how convenient and easy it is to repair, the ability to find parts. We are currently preparing a technical description for the competition," Samat Agabek said.At the first stage, it is planned to purchase 2,000 bicycles. If these cars are in demand among Almaty residents, their number will be increased."We hope that bike bikes will become a part of urban life and complement the micromobile transport system. It also contributes to the environment," Vladimir Ni said.Software improvements are also envisaged."A special application is being developed that will be on the balance sheet of the city. Bike bikes are equipped with GPS devices. This allows you to track their movement in real time and protect them from theft. The Mayor's Office is developing parking rules for micromobile vehicles. After the approval of these rules, we are planning a parking map," said the project manager.Bike bikes are mostly located in the city center. There is no access to the mountainous areas. This restriction applies to all rental systems."About 1,500 people use bicycles in Almaty every day. We think that as soon as electric bicycles are put into operation, their popularity will increase. Because they are safe and convenient," concluded Samat Agabek.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/almaty/press/news/details/911120

It was not the first time he had climbed peaks up to 4,000 meters with his platoon. .The appearance of Santa Claus through the window pleased both children and adults. The children of the military-patriotic club were happy to present gifts, and the children, in turn, delighted them with poems and songs. It is worth noting that the Kirov Club has been in existence for more than 8 years, and its students have repeatedly delighted the residents of the metropolis, descending from the roofs of high-rise buildings to wish the townspeople a Happy New Year. The young climbers proved that joy can be given not only with words, but also with unusual actions. Work on sowing in the southern regions continues.Starting from July 1, 2024, salaries for employees of forest fire stations and amphibious firefighters (fire truck drivers, fire fighters, tractor drivers) have been increased by 100% of their official salary (3.3 thousand people). This year, for the first time in the history of the country's forestry, 52.0 billion tenge was allocated for the purchase of 1,384 units of fire fighting equipment and 921 units of trailed and mounted equipment, including through leasing of 40.0 billion tenge. In 2024, 294 cases of forest fires were registered in the forests of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is three times less than in 2023, when the number of cases reached 810. The area covered by fires has also been reduced by three times. The average area of one fire in the belt forests of the Irtysh region was less than 0.2 hectares. In June of this year, 7 Prejevalsky horses were first delivered from the Prague and Berlin zoos to the territory of the Altyn-Dala Reserve in the Kostanay region. On September 21, 2024, 2 tiger specimens were successfully transported from the Netherlands Zoo to the Ile-Balkhash Reserve.Today, about 99% of the world's saiga population is concentrated in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Previously, the number of saigas was subject to a number of depressions, and in 2003 there were only 21 thousand individuals. Thanks to a number of protective measures taken by the state and supported by public and international organizations, it was possible not only to prevent its extinction, but also to achieve a significant increase in numbers, according to the results of the spring air count in 2024, their number was already 2,833,600 individuals before the lambing (1,620,000 of the Ural population, 1,150,000 of the Betpakdal and 63 600 – Ustyurt). Thanks to all these efforts, the status of the saiga has changed from critically endangered to vulnerable on the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List. This indicator is the result of many years of efforts to restore the saiga population and indicates that the measures taken are working effectively. On September 28 of this year, a program for the reintroduction of kulans from the Altyn-Emel National Research and Production Enterprise to the Ile-Balkhash and Altyn Dala reserves began. As part of the program, 67 kulan individuals were captured. 43 of them were transported to the Ile-Balkhash reserve to increase the number of ungulates in this region.24 kulan specimens were transported to the Altyn Dala Reserve. This event also became a landmark, as for the first time long-distance transportation of kulans over a considerable distance was carried out, which required careful logistical preparation and ensuring comfortable conditions for animals throughout transportation. To date, all the kulans have been successfully transported to reserves and released into an aviary for temporary detention.
