During the meeting, First Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aizhan Bizhanova noted that the dynamics of the growth of prices for food products has begun to slow down.According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as of February 18 of this year, the price index for food products increased by 2.6%, and by 0.4% in the last week, while 2 weeks ago this figure was 0.6%.During the week, a decrease in prices was observed for corn (-0.2%), chicken (-0.1%), rice (-0.4%), potatoes (-0.4%), eggs (-0.5%) and carrots (-0.7%). Prices for bread and milk are stable. Low rates of price growth were recorded in Almaty, Akmola, East Kazakhstan and West Kazakhstan regions.Regional akimats are actively working to organize agricultural fairs.
