Special attention was paid to the modernization of the healthcare infrastructure.This year, the Maslikhat of Almaty approved a single standard of primary health care, according to which 4 primary health care centers and 1 polyclinic have been built, and plans are being developed for the construction and modernization of 32 facilities - 15 hospitals, 2 maternity hospitals, 7 polyclinics, and 6 medical treatment centers.The city's Children's Emergency Medical Care Center will also be opened in 2024. The establishment of an Early Intervention Center has made an important contribution to reducing disability among children.The Mayor of the city noted that the modernization and development of the healthcare infrastructure is an important step towards ensuring accessibility and improving the quality of medical services for residents of the city. Mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev spoke at an on-site briefing in the CCS about the measures taken in the city to improve the quality of medical services.So, in June of this year, for the first time in Kazakhstan, the pilot project "Fetal surgery" was introduced. Now up to 150 intrauterine operations per year can be performed in Almaty. In 2024, 3,753 patients were provided with orphan drugs for 45 nosologies in the amount of 9.2 billion tenge. Almaty strengthens protection against natural risks: earthquake safety and work on mountain slopes 24.12.2024
The safety of Almaty residents is a fundamental priority. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Yerbolat Dosayev, at an on-site briefing at the CCS in Almaty.In order to minimize natural risks, for the first time since 1974, slopes have been cleared on the Mokhnatka and Gorelnik mountains, preventive maintenance has been carried out on 6 moraine lakes and the Esentai riverbed has been strengthened.The most important task is to increase seismic safety. A seismic audit was conducted of 10,916 objects (1,641 multi–apartment buildings, 9,275 civilian objects).
