As part of the execution of the President's instructions, work continues in Kazakhstan on the implementation of social projects at the expense of illegally withdrawn assets returned to the country.From a Special state Fund, the Government allocated over 2.6 billion tenge for the construction of a new dormitory for the Sairam Auxiliary Boarding School College complex in Shymkent. The building is designed for 300 seats, the project provides separate blocks for boys and girls, a medical unit, a dining room, game rooms, etc. The hostel will meet all modern requirements.Today, 363 people study in the special complex "Sairam Auxiliary Boarding School-College". The construction of the new building will eliminate the shortage of places in the existing dormitory, designed for only 120 students. The facility was built in 1975. Currently, due to the lack of places to live, some classrooms in the educational institution have been reoriented as bedrooms for children. 67 pupils are forced to study at home. How are the ports of Aktau and Kuryk developing? 03.12.2024
As part of a working trip to Mangystau region, Chairman of the Committee of Railway and Maritime Transport of the Ministry of Transport Zhanibek Taizhanov got acquainted with the development of the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, as well as with the operation of the terminals "Ersai" and "Sarzha". Port managers presented port development plans aimed at expanding regional and international trade. Thus, the construction of a container hub has begun in the port of Aktau. Work is being carried out on the delivery and compaction of soil. There are more than 20 units of special equipment working at the construction site. The investor of the project is the largest Chinese port company "Port Lianyungang Group". The completion of the project is planned for the next 2025. The implementation of the project will increase the capacity to 240 thousand. TEU (container equivalents) per year. Transshipment facilities have also been upgraded here: 4 loaders and a 63-ton crane have been purchased. It is expected that dredging of the Aktau port area will begin next year. A new grain terminal with a capacity of 1 million tons per year has been launched in the port of Kuryk. This year, 2,800 tons of barley were shipped to Iran. In May 2024, the Ersai terminal was launched, from which 153 bulky cargoes were shipped to Uzbekistan. Also, a vessel traffic management system (VTS) was introduced in the port of Kuryk to ensure the safe movement of ships. In 10 months of 2024, 4.2 million tons of cargo were transported through the port of Aktau, and transportation through the Kuryk ferry complex increased by 22% and amounted to 23,134 units. These projects strengthen Kazakhstan's position in international logistics and contribute to the development of the Trans-Caspian route. On November 22, 2024, the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on housing policy reform". Mashhad, December 3, 2024 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu participated to the 28th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).During the meeting, the heads of delegations discussed key areas of interaction within the ECO framework and considered proposals for strengthening regional economic cooperation.In his speech, Minister Nurtleu noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan will assume the chairmanship of the Organization in 2025, which will be held under the motto “Promoting Regional Transport Connectivity and Sustainable Development.”The Kazakh side emphasized the need to strengthen trade and economic ties between the ECO member countries. In order to protect the interests and rights of persons with disabilities, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a draft order of the head of the department on amendments to the Rules for conducting medical and social expertise. The document is posted on the Open NPAs portal for public discussion until December 18, 2024.The draft order provides for an expansion of the List of nosological forms in which a proactive correspondence examination is carried out. It will include diseases such as severe hypotension and muscle weakness, persistent generalized hyperkenesis, severe coordination disorders and others.At the same time, the document provides for the introduction of diseases and conditions in which disability for persons over the age of eighteen is established indefinitely, or for 5 years. For example, with a decrease in visual acuity from 0.04 to 0.08 with correction in the better-seeing eye, narrowing of the field of vision in the better-seeing eye to 20 degrees from the point of fixation in all directions, disability will be established for a period of 5 years, and with irreversible fecal, urinary fistulas, stomas with malignant neoplasms – indefinitely.The draft order also introduced the provisions of the International Classification of Functioning for a more detailed assessment of human health disorders and functions leading to disability.The above changes contribute to simplifying the procedure for establishing disability, as well as improving the quality of this service.The adoption of the draft order will not entail negative socio-economic and/or legal consequences.The document can be found on the Open NPAs portal: https://legalacts.egov.kz/npa/view?id=15324605 .We remind you that the International Day of the Disabled is celebrated on December 3.
