The concept of the development of the "Bozzhyra" visitor center was presented in Zhanaozen city 24.02.2025
On February 21, a preliminary public hearing was held in the city of Zhanaozen on the construction of tourist facilities in Bozzhyra. The event was attended by veterans, civil society representatives, members of the public council, maslikhat deputies, nature lovers and experts. At an expanded meeting of the Government, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to turn such attractions of the country as Bozzhyra into a center of tourism by attracting private investors. In this regard, domestic investors intend to build a visitor center and tourist facilities in Bozzhyra at their own expense, which will be able to receive 30-40 thousand tourists a year. The new project was developed by a domestic company with world-class experience in the construction of visitor centers in tourist areas such as Charyn, Kolsai, and Ayusai. According to the authors of the project, the center will be built taking into account all environmental requirements and the principles of sustainable tourism. The construction of the center is planned to be completed by the end of 2026. The center will be built from lightweight prefabricated structures that do not require a deep foundation. The building will be located at a height of 400 to 1000 mm, depending on the terrain of the site. The issues of water, electricity supply, and waste treatment have been resolved in a way that will cause the least harm to the environment. Bio-purification systems for wastewater treatment, separate collection of garbage, and solar power are provided. The project will include glamping sites decorated in Kazakh style in the upper part of the gorge, a museum, viewing platforms, and a teahouse. The modern visitor center will become a point of interest for tourists, contribute to the development of ecological tourism and ensure the preservation of natural heritage. According to the authors of the project, the goal of the visitor center is to lead travelers to the world of nomadic civilization, while preserving the natural landscape and cultural heritage, and to promote the history and traditions of the Kazakh people. Similar tourist facilities will also be built below Bozhyra. An ethno-village-style tourist town, eco-glamping and other tourist facilities are planned to be built here. A road will be built to the tourist facility and electricity will be installed. If this project is successfully implemented, 70 new permanent jobs will be created. An opportunity will be created for residents of nearby settlements to sell agricultural products and handicrafts. The participants who came to the public hearing expressed their support for the President's initiative to develop tourism. - I am an oilman. It is not known how long the oil future will last. Spring flood prevention work in Mangystau discussed 21.02.2025
On February 18, a meeting of the Mangystau region commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations was held under the chairmanship of the regional akim Nurdaulet Kilybay. The meeting discussed measures to protect settlements and roads during the spring flood of 2025, the preparation of water supply structures and drainage systems.At the meeting, the head of the regional passenger transport and road administration Adaybek Kaliyev reported on the protection of roads of republican and local significance in the region. According to him, 65 vehicles were mobilized for flood control measures, and 80 tons of gasoline and diesel fuel were prepared. In addition, 9 units, 200 vehicles and about 300 personnel were involved in transport services. In the event of an emergency, it is possible to transport more than 4,000 people.According to the deputy head of the regional emergency department, Alexander Alekseev, the risk of flooding is low due to the climatic features of the region. However, he noted that preventive measures have already begun.- In order to prevent floods and eliminate their consequences by 2025, more than 1,800 tons of inert material, 4,200 bags and more than 150 tons of fuel and lubricants have been prepared. In addition, 50 agreements have been signed to feed citizens affected by the emergency. If necessary, we will provide them with sleeping places and a sufficient amount of bedding, — said Alexander Alekseev.During the meeting, the akim of the Mangistau region Galymzhan Niyazov announced that the “Sarykabak” hydraulic structure, located 1 kilometer west of the village of Zharmysh, is undergoing major repairs. This dam is designed to collect rainwater, groundwater and spring water flowing from the mountains near the village.- In order to ensure the safety of residents of the village of Zharmysh, work has been undertaken to modernize the dam. Currently, construction is underway on an area of ​​​​17.6 hectares. We plan to fully complete the construction and installation work of the facility this year, — said Galymzhan Niyazov.Summing up the meeting, the regional akim Nurdaulet Kilybay instructed the responsible bodies to intensify preparations for the spring flood period.Prevention of spring floods is one of the most important tasks for our region.
