The Southern district boiler house in Almaty was built in 1972. Since then, only major and routine repairs of the equipment have been carried out. So, in 2003 and 2015, two of the four hot water boilers were replaced.Last year, the mayor of the city, Yerbolat Dosayev, during an inspection of the southern boiler house, which at that time was in a worn-out condition, instructed to modernize it. Thus, for the first time, the current project provides for the replacement and reconstruction of all four boilers, as well as existing auxiliary equipment.According to the design decisions, the contractor replaced three boilers in 1972, 1982 and 2003, and modernization works were carried out on the fourth hot water boiler. At this stage, pumping units, automation have been installed, gas and auxiliary equipment have been installed, and commissioning has been completed. As a result, the increase in boiler capacity amounted to 55 Gcal/h.
