Current repairs have been completed in the specialized fire department No. 3, located in the center of Astana. The modernization was carried out on behalf of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Genghis Arinov, in order to improve the conditions of service and accommodation of personnel. The renovation was initiated in February 2024, when the Minister of Emergency Situations visited all fire stations in the capital, assessing the working and living conditions of rescuers. During the visit, a number of instructions were given to create comfortable conditions necessary for the effective performance of official duties, as well as to improve working conditions for personnel. The work was completed in less than six months and included significant changes. Two floors of the building were renovated, the roof of the backup box and transformer substation were replaced, and concreting of the blind area around the building was carried out. The interior has also undergone major changes: showers, bathrooms, classrooms, dining room, recreation rooms and office spaces have been renovated. The Batyr team sports hall has also been renovated.New workout areas for sports have been installed on the territory of the unit and a green alley has been set up, pine and spruce trees have been planted, which gives a special atmosphere for the leisure of firefighters and their families. The Minister also instructed the heads of territorial departments, who also visited the renovated fire station, to carry out work on modernizing the infrastructure of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the regions. "Today, fire brigades are being modernized and repaired all over the country, and we are paying attention not only to the main work premises, but also to service dormitories. We strive to create conditions that facilitate the comfortable and efficient work of rescuers. It is important to create a space similar to the unique fire station No. 23, which also has office apartments," said Major General Genghis Arinov, Minister of Emergency Situations. About 90 employees are on duty at Fire station No. 3 every day, who are actively involved in responding to emergencies. The second stage is planned to carry out major repairs of service dormitories. The improved conditions help to increase the efficiency of their work and provide maximum comfort for those who are ready to help at any moment.
